I recently just picked up novice pike and plan on taking it all the way to master and really want to get a dot weapon for pvp and help u can give me on this subject would be appreciated. Thx

Nightsisters, mostly.

Yeah, nightsisters are the way to go. Elders, protectors, spell weavers, stalkers, rangers, rancor tamers seem to be the best, in that order kind of.

Initiates, slaves, escaped slaves, and a few others I usually don't bother with myself.

I looted one vibro lance, off a Tusken Raider. Poison, not great. Thats one loot in about 10 million kills.

u can solo NS with buff and some nice comp armour....i used to do it, till i had an accident with a spell weaver, now i always have my CH friend with 3 pets always watching my back, he can hold off 3 NS one with every pet, very useful cos the seem to spawn fast now

all the lances i loot r crap....but i get them from NS like everyone else...u will get loads of crap ones and mabey a nice one, and if ur really really lucky get a nice one

Elders usually come with upwards of 350K HAM, and VERY high resists.....it took us a while to take one down the other day, as we had 3 TKMs, and the Elder we faced had 100% kinetic resists....

Yeah maddog, i generally dont bother with them. Me 1tkm and 1 commando did 2 elders. Took us aaggeeees and we only really did it from the wounds from the flamer. Looted nothing off them either. But yeah as long as you dont fight an elder get some buffs, muon brandy canape whatever, and you can solo a fair amount

but if you have good friends who are prepared to give you the lances, its best to bring them along.

Yeah, we got nothing off the elder as well....that was just ridiculous.....I was so mad about that.....at least I got 5K exp off it, the TKMs did no damage at all, and got like 1 exp point....they were angry to say the least...

Well, they're not on nearly the same level as nightsisters, but you can get some off the various cavemen on Dantooine. I got a mind fire wood staff off a Mokk warrior a couple of days ago. It's just a wood staff and the DoT is pretty weak, but mind fire is mind fire. You can get similar stuff off the duloks on Endor.

All the good ones really do come from nightsisters though. You're pretty much limited to wooden staffs with weak DoTs anywhere else.
