I didn't realize that the double-bladed saber had most of the same animations as polearm.
Does it make me a terrible person that I now wish we had a dual-bladed sword?

Yeah, the lightsabers are simply permutations of simple melee weapons, the curved sword, wood staff, and I forget which the 2-h sword version is. This is made clear by the fact that the client-side mod that makes these lightsabers directly replace these types of weapons. They're just different dmg/speed values, graphics and sound. The base weapon is a simple brawler-level melee weapon.

Oh I realize that now, just hadn't noticed before. Of course, I've only fought with a jedi around once before, so, that might have something to do with it.
Maybe this brought my distaste of the VL and LVA models to a front.. I dunno. Never thought they looked very good, and I always kinda wanted a double-bladed sword, or even a spear. The lance looks ok, but most of our animations don't quite work with it (being that it only has one "end").
