Ok I just mastered Fencer and I was thinking about changing professions. Now I love Fencer, not ever being hit is just awesome. But I am sorta just wanting a change, not immediately just tihnkign abotu stuff, was wondering about Pikeman, seems like it'd be a fun profession, so any comments on how y'all are liking this? Oh and if all you're going to say is this profession sucks, with no reasoning, please don't waste my time.

fun.....get hit alot.....can't go out w/o buffs.....suck w.o looted weapons.....can't hit other players.......kool looking.......borked......that sums it up.

If you're thinking being hit more often is more exciting, maybe you're in the right place. The class is lacking in several areas, and the only ways to overcome them are, aside from ubiquitous armor/buffs/food, are stacking stats from other classes and using the DoT looted polearms. Pikeman is good in PvE, not as damaging as heavy swordsmen, arguably not as good with area attacks although that should be our specialty, but not very good in pvp. If you spend enough money (millions), however, you can use mind DoT or super high dmg polearms to give you an edge in pvp.

so apart from the fact that we like the way it looks , there not a single reason to choose pikeman over swordsman right ? ( basicaly i get this from all my friends telling me that 2-hand is much better and i dont have any arguments against this to back up my choices (master pikeman ) apart from that i like the way he looks )

Hmm interesting, as I have always been more prone to find aesthetics more important than actual functionality I think I will go pikeman at some point. Thanks all for your time.

Team it up with other proffesions, and you will find it very capable.
