Thread: Rediculously low damage with a Vibro Lance

My guild leader respec'ed to TKM and put the rest of the points into Pike.He is currently level 64. I gavehim a Vibro Lance that hadmin and maxdamage range of 448-878 (as I remember). This weapons should be more than adequate for him to grind to master pike... or so I thought anyway.
I was up in space in my YT when I got a few tells from him. When he was using specials, the damage in the combat log was around 200-210 for each attack. I have to admit, I was more than a little dumbfounded.
I had him do a basic melee attack (melee hit) and this came back with 393 damage, almost double what the special attacks were doing. I asked whathis accuracy was with the pike equipped and it was 180.
WellI am stumped. My Alt is TKM / MSwords with 0420 pike. I used a VL that was inferior to this one in every way. My damage never looked invertedlike that (corse I had Critical Strike and Power Strike from swords...)
Does anyone have any idea why his damage is so freakin low?

Maybe he's not using Armor Break, and you are? Or he's fighting a creature over his level, like exp hunting with a group of lvl 80's. Or maybe he had the stun or intimidate state on him, both reduce your damage (but I'm sure he would notice the icons though). Other than that, I have no idea.

another possibility since he is also TK is that he is using combo attack, the combat spam lists 1/3 of the damage it actually does.

I think this is definately the reason.
