Well this solution COULD work. When a creature is mounted by a close combat profession, they can move faster than people can run... particurely people using the ranged professions. The use of a mount also virtually negates routes... for instance if somone riding a Dewback is hit by a route they have say a 1 in 30 chance of being routed, and theplayer can then get off the mount and fight on foot.


Players also recieve a defence bonus, as they are riding a creature too... but because of their immense size the people shooting at the target get an accuracy bonus.


So do you think this is an idea worth developing further?





in many cases, melee does better than ranged in pvp. so your point about that isnt all that true.

as of now, players can get mounts and ride them in duels/pvp, but since most people dont have CH, they can only get CL 10 creatures, which are like 2.5k HAM, nothing to kill fora pvp'er really


i dont think they should get a def bonus if they expose themselves, its like getting a stealth bonus for walking on a minefield.
