I think that helped a little but to answer your last Q, YES i think you can master it before jedi path revamp. I work 8 hours a day and play 4-5 hours a night and i mastered armorsmith in two weeks, medic a couple days for holos and just started pikeman for number 3. I have novice pikeman now after going up polearm tree lastnight. Just get those buffs, find some big four legged marshmellows and area attack em to death. I've been workin the torturs on talus and tortons on rori. Gonnba work the baz nitches on dath when i get a few bars of pikeman.

Great!!Thanks for the informative responses. I guess I'll go ahead and drop what little I have of BH and go Pikeman. You've been really helpful.

I have a question for those of you that dwell in the realm smack dab in the middle between casual gamer and hardcore gamer. You have a regular job and life, buthappen to play SWG almost every night. I just got a holo and it told me to master pikeman. I had every intention of taking on the pikeman profession so this was no big deal. I have however just started the BH tree and wonderif I dropped it would I be able to master pikeman before the unlocking of the FS slot revamp goes on? for a frame of reference I mastered Commando in a little less than a month.

Master Scout = 77 skill points
Master Marksman = 77 skill points
Novice Brawler + Polearms 4 = 29 points.
Master Pikeman = 63 points.

Total of these skills = 246 points.

Therefore you can still master the Pikeman profession as long as you do actually learn the "Novice Bounty Hunter" skill. If you have learned Novice BH, you will have to drop it in order to become a Master Pikeman.

pros: element of surprise

intimidate

cons: mixing ranged and melee

bh specials go to waste

not good heals

Umm that's bad...

If you bring just a master pikeman against a jedi. You stand no chance.

BH's all need to be ranged. A solo melee template without 4000 doc or cm is bad very bad.
