I'm thinking of trying this template out on Test Center:
Master Pistoleer
Master Carbineer
Maybe Master Marksman since I'll already have 3 of the 4 skill trees.
Medic 2/1/0/0
If I don't get Master Marksman I'll have to figure out what to do with 20 skill points. Probably just add more Medic.
Even if this template isn't the best ever, I'll at least get to test my favorite profession (Pistoleer) and one of the most busted ones that I've always wanted to try (Carbineer).

After the next patch you'll end up doing this: buffs = carbineer only, unbuffed = pistoleer only carbines will be great, just too costly on ham's.

Yeah, I know it's HAM intensive, but here's how I look at it:
1. Like I said, I always wanted to try Carbineer, and playing one on TC will both let me try it and help to improve it.
2. I love Pistoleer, and I really want to play one on TC in order to help make it better any way that I can.
3. Eventually they're changing the HAM system (I think TH said they were shooting to get it in Publish 8 but I'm not sure), so what two better uber-Action-burning-professions could I possibly choose to test it with? Haha

Right now I am Master TKA, Master Fencer, Master Brawler, and 4410 Medic.
But I am really bored of this, i want something new.
I was thinking about going 4000 TKA, Master Fencer, Master Pikeman, Master Brawler, 3000 Medic, how does this sound? I will mostly PvP.

Sounds pretty nice to me. Good idea keeping the meditation line.

Thats pretty close to my template. Works pretty well. Just get some good mind DoT's, use lunge to knock them down, stick a dizzy, and start wackin on them with a good stun baton.

It's mainly for group fighting, no PvP. HEre it is:
Master Medic
Master Creature Handeler
Master Bio Engineer
4/1/4/1 Scout (the 1's are to tie up the small amount of points I had left)
That way, you can tame pets and make pets, heal people (I'll have a medical droid to help me out there too
), tank (well the pets will tank), make stims, etc.,..
I met a person last night with that very template. She's very nice, got a Kaadu and a Carrion Spat from her (bnoth BE pets) then she came to the vendor and trained them both, and she's gonna make them mounts once they're old enough. But enough on that, what do you think of that template? I've also though about Droid Engineer and TKA, but I think BE is gonna be what I go for.

I was thinking about the exact same template, also, the person you asked. By chance on the Shadowfire server? Anyway, right now I am master ch and master medic. BUT still am not sure about BE, Ive even thought about master ch and master doc. Ive tossed so many alternatives around in my head I dont know. Right now I am busy catching new pets and actually working on rifle xp. Having pets tank, and getting nice rifle xp without any buffs is fun. Im just worried about having no offense whatsoever is why im hesitant to pick up BE, but offense isnt everything I suppose.

Also I tried TKA and I guess some people with CH take it up but not for me. I find it is rather counterproductive to the CH. The pets dont really add much and you end up tanking mostly, also you take away more from your offensive abilities where your skills could be better spent elsewhere instead of on CH skills.

If you really enjoy adventurous exploration, in search of that rare wild baby or that high quality DNA sample, then this template is great.
If you want to engage in combat at all, I would say that this template is next to worthless.
Since the creature changes last year, most creatures are pretty worthless for offense, and soaking up damage doesn't kill mobs, so unless you have some kind of combat profession, preferably ranged, then you'll find yourself spending boatloads of time waiting around and healing pets. If you want just a taste of how it would be, go lure some wild critters into a pack of other wild critters and watch them duke it out. It takes a long time, because creatures have lots of HAM and low damage output, and those are the exact same creatures you would be taming as a Creature Handler. Maybe once you started cloning some creatures that are tailor-made to perform certain ways, this would change, but if you use tamed wild creatures to fight against other wild creatures, I think you'll find it excrutiatingly slow-paced.
It's nice that Bio Engineers can play God and create some nice critters, but comparing BE crafted pets to wild pets is like comparing a Master-made DX2 pistol to a half-worn CDEF that you found in a locked container.
