Among the different classes of Nightsisters(elders, spellweavers, etc)I was wondering, are the chances of getting a good VL or LVA better from a sentinel, since they use them or is it totally random.

Seems pretty random to me. Most of my best weapons have come off Spellweavers, but just about anything higher than an Initiate will sometimes drop good stuff.

Sentinels will drop good loot, I got a good VL off one (~100-600 damage, -1 use ~200 strength Action poison with 85% potency, and a speed slice

)

I'm not sure about what level it is that the loot stops being good, but I haven't heard of Initiates or Rancor Tamers dropping anything noteable.

I find protectors for the High dmg LVA and Weavers for good dots but its probably all random. Last night i got a exceptional health fire (a real nice spanking one) off a Weaver so I'm very pro Weavers atm hehe

I have gotten some very nice drops off of Initiates - rare, but it does happen. Rancor Tamers never seem to give squat, but their rancors occasionally do drop interesting things. One of them being a set of 75% Mabri boots with +18 def vs KD and a condition of around 44k.

Outcasts almost ALWAYS give me better than standard lances. Rangers occasionally have given me decent stuff. Overall, my list goes something like this:

1. Spellweavers/Outcasts

2. Sentinels

3. Protectors

4. Rangers

5. Rancor Tamers

6. Inititates

7. Elders (only becuase they are such a goddam pain)

The Pike I posted in my +dmg Mod threads I got off of a Protector a few weeks ago.

i would have gone with the order that was posted before.. however just when u think u got it sussed.....

An initiate goes and drops a 289 mind poison lol, i guess it is just random, but over a time scale id say ive had more loot or should i say better loot from spell weavers, and protectors

Im sure its random, but on Bria trade, a guy auctioned a 1300+ max dmg LVA!!! he said it was from Spellweaver
