Everyone I speak to seems to have a different opinion of the speed branch so does anyone have a definate answer wether its +12 speed or +12% which would be around +7 ?

Well, I just did a test and I'm now more confused than ever.

I have +3 enhanced melee speed currently (I'm not much of a grinder). Figuring that would disappear on top of +75 polearm speed, I tested it instead on top of my novice brawler +5 one-handed speed. I figured that way I'd either turn out to have +8 if it's addition or still +5 if it's a percentage. I then did 100 autoattacks in 301 seconds using a 3.7 speed dagger.

Unfortunately, that suggests a one-handed speed mod of about +18. Argh!

Either there's some really odd scaling going on with the FS speed mod or some other factor screwed up my test. I'll repeat it with some other variables, but I have a feeling there's enough time wonkiness to make +3 fairly useless for measuring.

I'll know for sure with the next block filled, but as of now, I would say it's a straight +12 to speed. With the two +1 tapes I have, I'm at 80, and that seemed to come close to capping me with hit 2, something I was not before the box was filled. With the next skill box, I should be speed capped [for PA hit2], but only if the speed bonus isa straight bonus. I'm not what you's call a "power gamer" though, so someone else will probably have an answer well before I do.

Well, if you can get into the village just take the missions that Dageerin currently gives. There are 8 total and you can only do up to 3 per 24 hour period. You've still got about 2 1/2 weeks before it shifts out of phase and to melee accuracy instead. The missions are pretty straight forward, go to Sith camp, kill stuff, report back.

If you can't get into the village, there are some good links on the Force Sensitive Forum that will tell you all you need to know.

I think people in the Force Sensitive forums have pretty much confirmed that the + Melee speed isgiven integers as opposed to a %, so meaning it's +12, not "current speed x 1.12"

Well, I don't know the exact stats, but I can tell you this: One of my guild members got a free tree back in Phase 1, so he got the melee speed. He's a Master Swordsman, and said he was swinging a Power Hammer at the speed of a Scythe. As far as I know, he doesn't have any other skill mods either besides the FS.

Thats a relief after the ubese shirts were nerfed I thought it was going to be impossible to cap speed, I dont think I have ever seen a polearm speed CA. Although a few nights ago I looted a polearm speed +6 AA that was so frustrating, lol.

What is wrong with an Armor Attachment having to go in armor? Just get some NS shards and have an armorsmith make you some really high condition bracers.
