Hi, my current template is master doc/TKM and I'm looking to improve it for pvp. Would a template of master doc / master pikeman be a good way to do this. Thanks for any replies

Well i've seen master doc/tk .. and i'm master doc/pike.
biggest problem you will have is melee toughness .. tka is higher so take less dammage than you will for the same hit.
higher defences in tk also.
however. i won't be giving up pike as it does have a few advantages over tk.
#1. Aoe Dizzy.
#2. Aoe knockdown.
#3. Electric dammage weapon (not stuck with just kinetic)
#4. Energy based weapon (if you can get the NS energylance)
#5. Dot based weapons *hunt nightsisters ya might get a nice poison/disease/fire dot weapon to help in pvp*
Unfortunate downsides of pike:
#1 aoe attacks in dungeons get you stuck in combat wiht something far away .. aka Corvett mission and stuck in combat wiht a mob 2 floors down.
#2 in pvp vs well armored and fed targets my dammage to them is minimal .. they regen it before they need to heal it .. *this is where our dot weapons have to be used...*
#3 no powerboost .. and not enough skill pts to get it if you are keeping master doc.
basically .. Pve ya will have loads of fun.. pvp .. you will find it trying at times.
ps bes lva i've ever gotten had a top end dammage of 477 after slice ..
best dot lance/lva i got had a 236 mind tic poison
oddes dot lance/lva i got had a 100pt Focus disease dot.

Dont bother using a high dmg LVA on any melee proff (pvp and melee mitigation). You will do next to no dmg and more importantly you'll get loads of decay on your LVA.
Dot's all the way for melee classes.
