Im a MBH and i been trying to figure out the best lines...Im 0/0/4/0
Now, Do i go 3/0/4/0 for +60 Dodge or 0/0/4/3 for Melee Defence
This is for Hunting Jedi and some PvP......Dont need no PvE help what so ever..I got that covered good...

Get dodge...you poor guys have the short end of the stick on defenses.
On another note, you could still hunt jedi at 3-0-4-0 BH/Master Pistol ![]()

Yea but then he would lose his ability to do damage in PvE, why give up the LLC....its just too much fun...I miss my FT from commando...some day I might to back...

Hi all, I'm going Master Pikeman, 4-0-3-0 Doc and either 4-4-0-0 fencer or 0-4-4-0 fencer.
I'm unsure of what would benefit me the most, the extra melee and ranged defence or the extra state defence. As a Doctor i will be able to cure all states applied to me, so i'm thinking that the extra melee/ranged defence will be of more benefit to me.
This template is purely for PvP use, i have an alt that i use for PvE. So, which in your opinion, is more useful Melee and Ranged Defence or Def vs. States?

I'd go for the melee defense (fencer 4-4-0-0). You're going to notice a big difference between the 30 and 99 or whatever you get with that extra fencer added on. Also to add, you can always add food+drink to give yourself needed defenses against states when needed.

For PvP go 0.4.4.0 fencer, your only hard oponent will be a good jedi. Because of our low toughness we take the worst beating of all the melee professions, our combat equelibrium is also low compared to the other melees. Fighting jedi as a pikeman is tricky, we tend to heal often, this reduce or dmg output and there for strenghten the jedis advantage. When we are on the ground we will get a good beating. I would choose 0.4.4.0 over 4.x.x.x any day.
This is also the case when fighting other melee DOT:ers and specialy a group of others. You will have a ful time job for your doc skills to heal of the dots, to have to worry as much about dizzy and kd.
The template with 0.4.4.0 and someithorian mist (def vs dizzy) and thakthillo (vs kd) and you will be very hard to beat.

I should have added, it's for mostly group PvP too. I'm planning on playing a support role for the up and coming guild jedi, Pikeman is awesome for crowd control so my job will be to kd/dizzy/stun and keep the jedi and rest of the group alive ![]()
You're right about the extra defences leaving me with less to worry about, i didn't think about that bit ![]()

OK bro reality is this. if you get 0440 fencer guess what jedi will state you nearly just as easy as will anyone else. YOu are getting 4030 doc you can clear those states. You are FAR better off being 4400 fencer for the KD def and the melee/ranged def. Whats the point of increasing state def whcih you can heal when just raw damage is gonna eat you up alot more anyway!! Melee/ranged def and posture/KD def takes prioroty over state def anyday in pvp especially when you have the ability to heal states.
4400 fencer is the way to go you won't look back!

aye, ofcourse the states will stick anway, but it will be in perhaps 10 trys instead of 2. In my experience jedi is only dangerous when im on the ground. As long as im standing im cool. This goes for any group since jedi tend to go in them and the other dotoleers often go in a group as well.
