Have any of you had a weaponsmith craft you a VL post-CU, and if so, what are the stats on it?
Thanks,
Perkins

I was also wondering if the new Pike weapons have shown up yet - weren't there supposed to be new types of pikes?

I've crafted a few VLs post-CU, all were inferior to my pre-CU VLs that converted over. They weren't awful or anything, but I'm very glad I have a few crates worth of pre-CU VLs.
However, crafting has changed in some pretty significant ways. Some of my ditanium steel (needed for VL, LVA, cryo lance, and electric polearm, among others) that was at least reasonable pre-CU is total crap now. It will take weaponsmiths a little while to adjust to the changes.
In a nutshell, where ditanium steel was once based on a 1-1000 scale for melee weapons, it's now on roughly a 785-865 scale. So what used to be 78.5% quality stuff is now zero quality and what used to be 86.5% quality is now 100%. This will affect pikemen more than a lot of professions due to the extensive use of ditanium steel in our weapons, and ditanium's very small range of possible shock resistance values.
What's available now will probably not be as good as what's available in a couple months. Right now you're best off sticking with smiths who have the best possible ditanium steel.

I have two (Sadly it's not more) VLs from pre-cu, and they are SCORES better than any VL I can craft right now. I'm hitting 425 DPS on my best one, and like 375 DPS on the ones I'm crafting now. I'd need around 40 experimentation points to match the pre-cu versions, they are superior in every way possible. The most noticable is the action cost. I believe mine is at 88 vs the 104 on the one I just cooked up. Just one of the many ways that weapons got messed up in the CU.
So, How'd your LVAs convert?

My pre-cu VL converted to 978 dmg and gives me 550 modified dps on my un-finished template.

I had a bag of pike dots that I was storing(never got into bein a dot h00r)....
I now have 37 900-1k Vibro lances....that's what they converted to. Gives me a good laugh. Lowest ones Modded DPS is 450, Highest one is 573.
None are sliced, but with 1, 2, and even 0 % slices, whats the point?

the new pikes that are being crafted now are the cyro(about 300dps) and the miniature-looking electric (about 200dps)
I do likethecyro lance, cuzwhile wearing padded armorsuit it makes you look like one of those goobsfrom thatamerican gladiator show.

The Electric Polearm is better than the Cyro Lance. Cyro is level 30, Electric is level 40.
