Thread: Any comparisons for melee damage out there

I have been looking aroudn the forums trying to find some relatively reliabel info on the approx damage potential by Swordsman and Pikeman specials. Am debating which master level to keep so really interested in hwo the special attacks compare. I assume sowrdsman are higher Damage, but by how much?

I have both Swordsman and Pikeman. Impale seems to do a very comparable amount of damage to Power Strike and Critical Strike (assuming you dont actually get a critical..). Discounting Improved Impale though, Swordsman specials otherwise outdamage Pikeman specials fairly significantly. But hell, if you CAN keep both I recommend doing so. Pikes + Critical/Powerstrike work very, very nicely.

so what do you recommen?
fight with lance and swordsman attacks+impale (but wearing a lance)
or fight with hammer and pikemans impale attack?

pre cu looted VL's converted to 1k dmg weapons with roughly 506 dps..thos lances were dot weapons with no slices.. my pre cu LVA 218-1015 dmg polearm speed 18,terrain neg 19 converted to 300-600 dps 303...

ALL VIBROLANCES are 250ish DPS after CU
i heard of rare drop weapons but hey...doesnt Pikeman got good crafted weapons to use as master pikeman?
you cant do seriously pvp with a 250ish dps weapon while your enemy has a 500dps gun???
so iwhat do you think? is puikeman bugged and nerfed like hell atm and only swordsmans Powerhammer good for pvping? or what?
