I want to be a squad leader with several pets following me around. I am big into pvp.... however even when it seems im right on top of the guy it always says hes out of the range of my lance. I cant deal with melee any more. My question is, because I started as a brawler, can I still drop the enitre brawler skill tree, and just take up markesman? If not can i transfer all my personel faction pets to my new character? Any help would be great. I hate to give up on meele, but Im practicly running on top of the guy and nothing.... i figured with squad leader i get burst buffs to help, but it seems futile now.

Well first off, Pikeman is the worst melee class for PvP, so that might discourage you even more. And yes, you can surrender all your brawler points to regain your skill points which you can then put into Marksman. Just open up your skill window (CTRL + S) and click on the skill and a Surrender Skill option should come up at the bottom. Just click that

Yes, give up all that is sacred to us pikeman and become a CH/Marksmen like everyone else... like there needs to be more CH in this game...

PvP is awesome withpikeman. Romeo are you not having fun I have had no complaints with PvP, the way I see it is like in real life someone with a long stick is not going to beat a person with a gun... The possibility exists, but it is still a slim posibility at that... I expect to be beaten most of the time, It goes with the big stick... pardon any sexual reference implied on that last sentance... I didn't mean it and I just watched Porn and Chicken on Comedy Central.

Our problems and bugs not withstanding, if anyone became a Pikeman with the expectations of fighting ranged players on equal footing they should be beaten for ignorance.

Silver, I LOVE dueling, and usually only duel melee, cuz I'm not a fan of being kited. Anyways, PvP is all about who is the fastest at this moment, at least in 90% of the duels I have done. Duel a fencer, he will rip you a new **edit**. My friend is a fencer who isn't even 2/3 done with fencer yet and he will rip me a new **edit** til Sunday. We are suppose to be the strongest defensively, that is the one of the characteristics of fighting with a staff/pike, but as the way Pikeman is now, I'd be willing to say we are the worst PvP, with heavy swordsman in close second.

By the way, I love my Pikeman and still use it all the time, and I DO NOT plan on giving it up.

well i would like to comment on that, lol, for one i fight all types of gun toters, and for two, i beat them 9 times out of 10,...now granted when they challenge me, i walk right up on them, now if they start to back away and run off then i dont accept the challenge, now if they just stand there when i approach, i acceprt there duel, sweep them off there feet, note that right here, they have no legs and no legs= no runing, then i polearmhit2 them and rinse and repeat, 4 hits and they dead. lol, the best part is when there buddies say before the duel "dont even try dude, he is gonna kill ya", i just smile and say, we see..and 9 out of 10 times i kill them, the execption to the rule is when i miss, and that happens from time to time, and oh yeah, i am only a novice pikeman with the first row filled, cant wait till im master and i sweep them and polearmhit3 them, lights out!
