I have read the msg. of the profession Masters...I have gathered that Pikemen are badarse...however look at the TKA Master title I come to believe they are more powerful. I believe their speed increase ever single lv in one Tier to where ours increase in only twice in one of our tiers. I noticed also that one of our tiers is almost worthless...I mean spinattackarea for a stun is okay I guess but if you hold out you will get a areaattack that does stun, dizzy, and damage...so why would I ever use the spinattack...that only does stun and damage...less cost of the move (nope)...faster recovery time...(perhaps)...but I believe we as pikemen could use something else in that area...perhaps a mediative state just like TKA or even a different move or something that is different than the other areaattackmoves....to me it just seems a waste of time....I myself mostly use either sweep1 or 2 and areaattack because I normally do more damage...and with a 2.5 spd Lance...I hardly waste any action or mind....but I do when I miss feel the repercussions...of it...just wondering...to me is would just seem that all melee bases professions would get some type of mediate, trance, rage, or state of awariness for them...what do you think? This is just an opinion just asking out there if anyone understands what i am talking about and think it would be a good idea. Thx

I'm a novice pikeman with a nice unsliced vibro lance. I just hit someone for 5583 damage (in the combat window). I'm thinking our class is not bad.

Comparing to other classes and wondering why they have something that's better than what we have is how nerfing gets started and that ends up hurting everyone. TKA are much more independent (heal themselves) and versatile (can attack each specific HAM pool)than we are, they may even have higher DPS at master level. But we have our own special strengths (and weaknesses).

Our area attacks are EXTREMELY potent. The branch with spinattack2 has +30 polearm speed. Saying you thinkit's worthless probably indicates something about your (lack of) understanding of the profession's play style. After defensive 1, I'm mastering that branch.

Plz...I know how to play very well...and I for one will never believe you hit anyone for over 5k damage in PvP...if so plz do it again and take a screen shot....make sure the person isn't laying down either...but toe to toe with you and lets see it again. By the was I do play on Starsider so if your there send me a tell...I would like to see this.

I have a screenshot of it, but I didn't say it was a PvP hit, it was against an NPC rebel red con.

He was knocked down when I hit him, which increases damage.
