I don't know if anyone else has run into this, but even with 2 box's into defense ( I know, I need more pike exp ) I find myself being thuroughly owned by newbie pistol users. One in particular on Lowca, isa rebel jerk named Lucifer- He uses the BH Scatter pistol + Knockdown/headshot. He kills in 3-4 shots, to even myself. It's basically impossible to fight him ATM, even with sweep, because pistol fires so fast.

I'm wondering if the answer to this issue would be to migrate more stats into the Mind/Willpower/Whatever- the field that handles your 'resistance' to use of that field- would help at all? Or does anyone know a better way to fight this ? I'm finding it more and more difficulty to justify to myself using polearm, I realize it's ghimped, but jeeze...

If you get master brawler you can get polearmlunge 2 which is also a knockdown attack but it has greater range (just less damage then sweep). Use that against him while he runs, hit him, and repeat.
