Hi,

Im still working my way to Novice Pikeman(currently Polearm3)on Test Center(was previously a DE) and was wondering if there are any guides about the profession. ie: what weapons to use, what to look out for, places to solo for xp etc etc.

Im currently using a reinforced staff...basic lance and LVA seem to miss way to much to be useful. Damage is high but so is the HAM costs.

Your basic lance misses too much? What are the accuracy mods on it? Most lances I've seen have been slightly more accurate than RCS's.

Heh, steer clear of the upper end weapons (anything vibro) till you've got at least +50 to accuracy. Even then its going to suck. I would recommend shopping around to find a good lance. Something that does 200+ damage and has low accuracy penalties.

A good lance is quick and nasty as long as your opponent isn't heavily armored. HAM costs are fairly reasonable (in comparison to bigger pike weapons) to.

I got my LVA sliced and got the speed reduced....has helped. I also found out that bumping up your strength negates the effects of the high HAM costs....my health doesnt move when I use specials. Tatooine Sunburn drinks are good =]

I like the damage of the LVA...the lance takes too long to kill a creature off.....but I'll do some more testing when the server is back up and do a little more comparisans.
