I am a weaponsmith an wondering what weapons should i make for pikemen.

My question is, if you are to choose 3 weapons to get you to novice pikeman starting from novice brawler, what weapon would it be?

Any help is very much appreciated.

A highly experimented reinforced combat staff.

I'd say the three most useful pikeman weapons are the Reinforced Combat Staff, Lance, and Vibro Lance.

VL for electrical damage.

and LVA for massive kinetic damage.

The LVA's biggest advantage is the medium armor piercing, aginst anyting with medium armor VL is virtually useless (50% damage automatically gone). And against light armor LVA is sometimes also better, but other than that using a fast VL to attack and a lance or reinforced combat staff with good +8 or +10 range bonus for sweeping/stuning(less ham, less miss)is the way togo.

For novice brawler to novice pikeman: Re-enforced combat staff, Lance, Vibro lance

For Novice Pikeman and beyond: A GOOD statistical Lance, Vibro Lance, Long Vibro Axe (and hopefully others when SOE adds them...hint, hint, wink, wink).

For the good statistical lance, speed is probably the most important issue since it will most likely only be used for the initial knockdown move. After that I believe that most pikemen switch to the VL or LVA to finish off whatever was just knocked helplessly crying to the ground.

Lance, Lance, Lance

VLA is nice and does great damage but I've found nothing compares to the Lance for reliability or to get you thorugh a long fight. Lances have +8% to accuracy whereas the LVA is ~-50. Not too mention the reduced HAM and increased speed. Atm LVA is for looks, hopefully this accuracy bonus's along the novice tree will allow for me to use the LVA soon (hope hope). Personally I think the Lance graphic needs to be improved. Im under impression that alot ofPikeman shy from this weapon in favor of the LVA with this in mind.

Regardless, I watched a friendly duel between a pikeman with an LVA and a TKA about a week ago. It was plainly obvious if the Pikeman wer using a Lance he wouldve won a few fights instead of losing them all.
