Thread: Loving It With Questions!
1. Are there any other skills I might need, or should have, if I take up the full profession of Pikeman? Medic? Etc?
2. What stats are the most important for a Poleman in terms of using special moves? HAM, Secondary, etc.
3. Staffs: I'm working on the third box of Poleman right now, what types of weapons can I expect? Are there any I need to look out for that are better?
Any other suggestions would be great! Thanks!!!
With the third pole arm box, the Long Vibro Axe is arguably the best weapon, if you can find one their stats can be in the 200-500 damage and 4.4 speed range. This is WAY better than the stats on any other pikeman weapon. The down side is this weapon will have a nice -50/-50/-50 distance modifiers and the HAM costs are a bit silly. 103/80/30 but havinga weapon THAT good. That early is worth it. Once you unlock the Lance though, many people will suggest you go with that. It's numbers are not as impressive, but it is much more rliable.
And later on when you get accuracy bonuses in the pikeman tree you can lean back more torwards The long vibro Axe.
I've found that equal HAM is the best way to go for this class combo, maybe lean a little less on action and more on health - since health takes the most hits. You need the HA for general melee fighting, and the mind for healing.
What I've found is that, with master medic, you can stay standing and deal out frequent special moves as long as you have mind pool remaining. Cowev may be PvP fodder, but he can take some fairly heinous punishment. With a mind pool of 1000 (after a nice helmet), he gets about 8-12 heals before running out of mind. That's usually 600 HA per heal, so about 5000-7000 HA damage to actually incap him - barring nasty headshots.
If you can find someone to make you crates of generic melee weapon powerups it helps out TREMENDOUSLY using the long vibro axe. I make some that take 32% off health cost. They also regularly end up with modifiers that increase minimum damage, increase maximum damage, speed increases and a few other things. If you happen to have engineering 4 you can make single ones yourself to try out with the right materials and experimentation. They're very nice.
I'll never forget the day that i figured out they weren't actually adding a penalty... I walked around handing out samples... gave waypoints to my shop which sells the crates (this was actually ranged ones originally) And making a load of cash =D!
I don't know if i should give out my ever-so-simple secret to great weapon power-ups though.
