Im not a Pikeman But i dueled against one about a week back and well it seems kind of strange.

My build as of them was Swordsmen 3-3-4-3 Ranger 3-2-3-4

Well some Pikeman /tell'd me asking for a duell to test out his new weapon..figuring that he just wanted to test his weapon i put away my sword and let him attack me. After 3 hits i still had 3/4 my hp while had less then 1/4 of his hp....this seems kind of strange as i have no TKA skills and he was atleast a novice in his proffession

Was he doing styles or just standard attacks? Did you have armor on? Was he using a crappy basic lance?

i never wear armour..he was using specials...i have no unarmed specials and it was a "new lance" is all he said and he was a pikeman so im assuming it was a rather good one he on the other hand i belive was wearing some sort ofarmour

Lances are the weakest weapons for the pikeman. I'm not a master pikeman but with a LVA i can hit for 2500+ if you have no armor on it's even greater than that cause the LVA is medium armor piercing. Let me swing at you I can prolly take you down in 3 hits.

Egnar was it me you dueled? I think I dueled you once on Dathomir when I wanted to test outmy new Long Vibro Axe whose stats were: 360 max dmg 3.1 speed.

Our damage has been overly nerfed for pvp, I'm hitting players for 250 or so when I hit creatures for upwards of 2-3k, that is NOT a 70% reduction in dmg, it's drastically more then that. Someone goofed somewhere and I think they set a cap on the max amount of dmg you can do to a player in a single hit.

Good thing I don't pvp often or I'd be really pissed .

In pve, pikemen are still doing well. All melee got fairly screwed with this dmg nerf, we can be infinitely kited now.

ya varcon it was you....and for lance i just ment a pike..but i guess it was a long vibro..but yeah that was **edit**ed especially since i have no unarmed combat exp

I think part of hte problem is, PIkemen get a double *****slap. First, we have HORRIBLE accuracy until we're practicly masters. -43 to -55 with VL and LVA. At point blank range. Add onto this fact that our specials require more then a ridiculous amount of HAM (My VL is even sliced HAM wise and was built for HAM), you miss 3-4 specials and you might as well burst run away.

I havent dueled against any melee classes for a while now but our damage definately isnt capped at 250 against those ranged users, I recently dueled a crazy rifleman who dueled me and didnt run heres how it went kd with reinforced staff switch to lva regular hit for 500+ then hit3 for 1800+

definately not underpowered, i just got a hit on a guy this morning for 3191 damage in PvP.....nope....not underpowered in my opinion......

Yes, I think we are WAY underpowered.

I did a test last night with a Master TKA buddy.

He put on his Vibro Knucklers and I weilded my Long Vibro Axe sliced for damage.

We were actually hitting the same speed, hit for hit but was amazing was that his VK's sliced for speed were doing more damage per blow them my LVA!?!?!

Get this, his melee defense is like 25 or something, andI haveabout 40 being expert stances TKA and advance striking, so my defensesarewaymore and my weapon is supposed to hit harder, yet he still did more damage.

We did the test with the Lance, VL and LVA, all same result.

I have +60 to Change posture and +40 to KD now with the TKA defenses and Master Pikeman.

We tested these and he could CP and KD me with ease.

I think we are way underpowered, in PVP and the defenses are a joke.

pikeman are in no way underpowered in PvP, u need to know what moves/weapons to use and when, as long as we arent knocked down, we cant lose, if you do, you're doing something seriously wrong

It's ok in PvP, my beef is more the animations taking so long attacks won't go off if you so much as look at your move keys in a fight. I'm not talking specials either. Maybe it's the lag of 2 people but I can hit creatures while running all day long but never with people unless I'm spamming the crap out of lunge.
