Just started a thread on the Dev boards discussing the fact I believe melee classes should be able to bleed AT-STs

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Development&message.id=429784

It is my opinion that it will give us tanksa more diverse role in PvP.

You think you'll actually be able to get close enough to an at-st to hit it?

Sounds like swordsmen will have the best shot of hurting an AT-ST now - they're making them vunerable to blast damage, and they get a power hammer..

What is an AT-ST going to bleed? Oil?

bleeding oil is logical to me . hit them at there joints i say . lol from posts id say most replys so far were from imps with AT-ST's . im neutral never fought one so im neutral in debate and i can see that at-sts slaughter all who stand against them unless u got a lot of fodder to throw at them. meaning clone run out get shot clone run out get shot clone ....... get the idea i see it all the time in ah .lol

No offense but if you live in Anchorhead your biased towards rebels. AT-ST's are only a big deal because rebel's don't have one. I don't even use AT-ST's, and I think bleeding one is idiotic, just on principle. I personally use storm troopers, I don't feel AT-ST's are worth the faction cost (9700 is almost enough for the first factional base, 14000). Losing one HURTS. The biggest problem is I never, ever see nearly as many master classes in the rebel squads as I do in Imperial squads. The only master squad I've ever seen was in Theed, and they were hanging with Lucifer- a rebel jerk on Lowca who talks trash 24/7, I swear I think he lives in SW:G. Anyways, once blast damage does full damage to AT-ST's no one will use them, on the test center you can hit one for like 6000 with a special attack, which is just crazy.

I have only 1 box above Novice pikeman filled and I'm hitting AT-STs for 1000-1500 with polearmhit2 with a LANCE (not vibro, not LVA, cause Starsider STILL can't make those yet cause of resources). A bleed for these is not necessary.

I don't believe you are actually doing 1000-1500 damage, this would most likely be the number that shows up on your combat log. The actual damage would show up above the AT/ST's head. Because ATST has heavy armor (level 2? 3?) your actual damage if it displayed 1000 would be at most 1000*.5*.5*.3 or 75 points. This is if heavy armor is level 2. If it is level 3, you are doing half that, or 37 points.

I know this because I am also a pikeman on starsider, and suffer alongside you with not having the enhanced weapons, which makes our profession useless against ATST unless you're lucky enough to get a knockdown in on them.

Next time you hit a AT/ST check out the HAM bar or the numbers over its head to see what damage you really do.
