Thread: action damage
It seems kinda odd that the slowest hitting brawler proffession gets to hit action instead of mind. Of course at masters it doesnt matter too much, however getting there before you do good in pvp? Well picture a rifle doing health damage, even with its high damage people with some medic skills could out heal it
sorta the same problem with pikeman.
so why is it we do action damage and not mind? is it because soe didnt want the brawler tree to look too much like the ranged tree or is it because we hit rather fast and pretty hard (when we dont miss)
Are you asking them to make us get hit on the mind pool more often? Are you nuts?
This is the only stat we can't heal, and the only stat that gets me killed. I don't think I CAN get hit in the head any more than I do now...
I don't care what you say, no krevol can smash me in the head the way they do now. I even have a composite helmet on!
They need to fix the problem, not make it worse.

Ok, I re-read it....
I thought it sounded crazy
Ignore my post... hehe
It's because a lot of polearm attacks are tripping/sweeping attacks. Count our posture down and knockdown attacks.
It seems right that a big fat sword would be hitting mind. Two-handed swords are for beheading, while the big sharp sticks we use wouldn't be too great for decapitation or headshots.
True. But let me smack you in the head with a big vibrating metal stick and you tell me if it doesn't affect your mind. (If you can manage to find words at all)
I do agree though that ActionHit is pretty pointless, unless you can get multiple pikeman all wounding an opponents action pool. Seems like something you would do to be vindictive rather than a strategy to take down an opponent.
What actionhit needs to do is to halve the opponents running speed, that way Marksmen wouldn't be able to kite you with their bleeding shots or head shots. Again, you try running after getting hit in the kneecap with a big vibrating metal stick....
If you guys havent used ActionHit yet, you do not know what a good move this is. It causes the hit MOB to bleed for whatever you hit it for, then every 5 seconds or so (havent timed it) it causes dmg to the MOB's action. I use it on really big MOB's, then sweep, then LegHit2 on it, then sweep again and repeat. An avg bleed for me with a LVA is about 900 dmg, so you can take down some pretty big Mobs with this move. Also if the Mob incapicitates you, you are still doing dmg to them while your lying on the ground. This is a move that I was really unsure about when I looked at the skill tree, but i am very happy that I decided to go with it.

Hmmm, I had only used it once or twice and didn't find it very useful so I dropped it from my hotkeys. ![]()
Guess I'll have to give it a go one more time.
ActionHit1 is a great tool for taking down mobs with high HAM. If used while sweeping with a RCS or lance, then you can take down red cons with ease. All you have to do is knockdown, then bleed, then just keep knocking down until the bleed wears off or until the mob is dead.
However, ActionHit1 does not bleed every five seconds, it's much closer to 15 seconds. I assume that ActionHit2 is the same way, except with a higher damage potential.
The first shot with ActionHit1 or 2 does not actually cause damage, it just causes the bleed to begin.

I made my way over to Endor to harvest some wooly hides and watched with glee as I caused a little over 2k action damage every 10 seconds or so, on top of the damage that I was doing with sweeps and hits. How come I passed this up last time?
Thanks a bunch!
