I'm trying to be patient But I'm dying to get an idea of what the Devs have in mind for Pikeman and as a result was wondering if you had anymore future correspondance with them scheduled for the future. I read a disturbing post from Holocron on the SWG Discusison Forum and he said he thinks the Correspondant program failed (he pointed 100% of the blame at SOE). Does this mean the program is dead? Or is it still alive? I've read several times that you stated you were "retiring" as the correspondant. Are you through with writing to them? or do you have another report in the meantime?

I wouldnt be asking these questions, but the totalsilence of "official" information from SOE on the status of broken professions is deafening to my ears. However, to give them credit, they do do a good job of advertising expansions and billing my credit card.

No, I know nothing that you guys don't already know. Ok, poor english... I do not know anthing above what is posted my them on the boards. If I had recieved a letter from them then I would have posted it on the board... but as the the fact of the correspondence program failing. I guess that the fault lies within who placed the volunteers in their correspondence positions... Not to knock SOE, but I don't think that they have acctually thought of how hard it can be sometimes to read the boards... just read, I am not getting into posting... I have sent a message to them about last "week's" (now month's...) concerns and have yet to see their post on the board.

I am only supposed to write a new message when they have addressed the old one. Yeah... still waiting on that last one... As for reading all the boards and posting a lot, and not seeing anything out of it, I can see how other correspondents have chosen to leave, much like myself. Don't get me wrong, it was fun and all, but a lot of the others (correspondents, that is) are getting restless. I personally don't understand how SOE plans to keep in touch with their players if they can't even keep in touch with the 20some correspondents. Perhaps there is something that I am missing, but I thought that as a correspondent I would at least get a reply from them within a month.

I sent my resignation in a month ago... then again two weeks ago... now I wonder where my mail is going? Perhaps the CSR mailbox, at least that would explain why nothing has been addressed, looked at, or responded to. I am joking of course, but it seems that the players andthecorrespondents are second to that of the game it's self... Saying this I am wondering if the game would get as much attention if there wern't any subscribers. I have spoken to a number of people in RL, who all pretty much agree that SOE should not have been handed the job to make this game... I am now starting to agree...

I know this is against what most of you think... Like that I am "in bed with SOE, plotting the players' demise," but that is untrue, I am locked outside the house peeking in the window like everyone else, working with whatever blurry picture I can see through the warped glass window.

I know this doesn't bother you players but I think one of the reasons why thecorrespondents are leaving is because of that same reason. We are like the garbagemen for the house of SOE. We take all the trash and are working for free. The supposed "free char" on test center where we would get free exp so we could remake our pikeman characters, and test out the changes before they happen is another load of trash we are handed. It has not happened nor do I think it will be. So far, the only bonus to being SOE's garbagemen, is that we can float some messages to the top of our forum...

Forgive me if I do not seem greatful, asit has helped ourproffesions get heard and our problems get fixed. /sarcasm off...

Perhaps a small bonus or a free month or something for being a correspondent would at least give the people some kind ofincentive to do a better job. Though that does not really matter to all the players out there and is of a minor concern, to that of the greater issues.

How many people feel like we are just beta testers, only we are paying to be beta testers... I think this game deserves to be brought back to the drawing board on a few subjects, however, I believe that there was a big amount of weight on SOE's sholders to actually ship out the game, so perhaps we are being left out onthe facts...

What? us be left out on the facts? that has never happend! /sarcasm off...

I may finally get the release from this job for writing this message. As I have been wanting for a while now. I had initially wanted to leave on good terms with SOE, and the players, but it seems that in order to be heard I have to whine and complain about it like all who did so about KD. How much notice must I give SOE for leaving... usually a job needs only 2 weeks... I guess it is much longer here...

Perhaps I will be fired, that is if they actually read this board. But then again, we can't expect them to care about the people who are filling their pockets with credits... /sarcasm off...

Uh oh, the commad isn't working again, I guess it is time for a /bug report... What no one even listens to them, and the "send" button is actually the "delete" button, with a complimentary line of bs?

Soe, can know that they failed not the correspondents, If the correspondents had anything to do with how the game is built, then they would at least have gotten something done...

Hey you do what you can right? And at this time there is nothing more you can do.

It just floors me that a business can thrive treating their customers (and middleman "helpers") like they have.

Yeah silver you did a good job But like u say its like were talking to a deaf ear especially us melee types. You did your best even though i cant say i agreed with some things u said and have sent to soe but you went with what the majority when sending soe requests of changes.

ohhh with KD nerfed ive dropped master brawler it was only thin that made master brawler useful ..... who knows i might be expiker soon to with the ways soe is running us melee out of game

Why wait for them to acknowledge your leaving? Just go. Don't get me wrong, I think you did as good a job as you could under the circumstances, but if SOE is turning a blind eye then they most likely won't miss you if you're gone.

As for not sending notes until they respond to a previous one, I'd say to hell with that. Spam those biatches with everything you can and if they complain tell them it's because they never responded to any of them. It's their fault not yours and they need a wake up call.

It has become painfully obvious that the game nor SOE were ready for release. I think I can finally take all of the good advice about not buying mmorpgs for at least a year after release...it's just not worth the time and effort to see the latest, greatest graphics demo which is all most modern MMO's turn out to be on release.

Thanks for the info Silver. I can sympathize with your fustration regarding SOE communication (I could post 3 pagees worth of legitimate complaints regarding this issue). I kinda figured someething was amiss when I started to see correspondants villifying SOE on the main discussion page (granted i was crackin up at the irony). Anyway for the record, I'm sorry that they didnt hold up their side of the bargain. I find is somewhat discouraging that SOE indifference to their base extended tothe Correspondant program. Anyway, if they keep this up with their custmoers its going to bite them in the ass 6 mo, 1 yr, 2 yrs down the line. Anyway, thanks for doing what you could given your resources.
