Ok this is gonna sound bitter but I'm not as unhappy being a pikeman as it sounds...

Has anyone noticed how so many holocrons are telling people to be Pikeman? I'm almost wondering if the other ones are saying be DE and Chef lol. Does anyone think this is SOE's cruel joke to give Pikeman some player base (therefor some exposure so it can be complained about?). It just seems wierd how many posts lately have been like "A holocron told me to master pikeman! um so how goes the pikeman class" and the first answer they get is something like "Well, sucks to be you, you shoulda drew the one that said master CH hehehe"

how did I (ex pistoleer master) ruin your class, you got a whole heap o bitter bro...

Sorry that you (we) suck... I will be master and then I will be selling the skill when I open the holo in my backpack (will never give up CH unless a holo makes me lol)

I think it has to do with the fact that Pikemen have a lot of knockdown moves, that have now been nerfed because of pistol whipping spammers.

well I saw every claass doing it, TKA, Pistoleer, BH... or is it just that pikemen deserved to be able to spam it out in the middle of nowhere with nobody looking lol.

I agree the class is in a sad state of affairs after just two days of being in it, I will probably think so even more after playing tonight, but to blame Pistoleers because the designers didnt to their job is ascinine.

The knockdown spam is what made pistoleers, Bounty hunters, and TKA's unliveable. Pikemen had it too, but we couldn't be as effective in PvP as the other guys (I still believe it was gay to use knockdown spam against creatrues too. Use some skill, DAMMIT)

I dont post too often and I was originally a Mon Cal armorsmith from the begining. I transfered my stuff and became a Trandoshan Brawler/Scout. I always thought the Pikeman would be a great character. and Bbased off of the small number of posts there isnt a great following. So I will stick with it. But I'm off the subject.

Holocrons are sending more people to be artisans because mostly Elite Combat personnel are actaully getting the holocrons. It appears by the number of posts and by whom, that the holocron targets the area you are least skilled in or farthest from what you are currently doing.

I believe it is SOE's way of forcing people to try all the professions. I wouldn't be surprised if to open a force sensitive slot you had to have mastered all basic classes at least once and at least 1 type of elite, such as Some type of Artisan, Some type of Combat both melee and ranged, and maybe even some type of Entertainer or Merchant. Which in of itself will make me NOT want to become a Jedi.
