Thread: New to Pikeman, man do I miss often...too often
The accuracy mods you receive after novice pikeman do help, but as they are gained through combat xp, they come slowly and you only start to see noticeable improvements as you get closer to master. Fortunately for you, there are changes on test center that will add extra accuracy, but this does not change the fact that accuracy is gained through combat xp (1/10 of weapon xp received). Even at master, it is not too uncommon to miss roughly 15-20% of the time. This is, of course, dependent on your weapon.
Which weapon are you using? At your level, it is generally not a good idea to use the long vibro axe, despite being "certified" for it, as the range mods are simply too terrible and you have no accuracy bonuses to help you out. Stick with a regular lance for a while, at least until you reach novice pike. Then try out the vibro lance. I'd also recommend getting an LVA also just to try out. If you can stomach the misses, it will give you the best damage.

All of us did when we were at that level. best thing you can do is use the lance. thats it. dont' use a long vibro axe till you are more advanced and have gotten your accuracy mods up. only other thing i can tell you is swing more...
Thanks for the advice, I was using the LVA. I bought one and managed to get a decent damage slice on it 125-458 so I was pretty thrilled with the damage potential compared to my old lance. I will give the lance a try again and see if it helps
Thanks
Hello, I am new to Pikeman and I am wondering if I should be missing as often as I am. I sometimes miss 5-6 times in a row. I am on the 3rd box in brawler and I plan on Mastering this profession, does the accuracy mods help?
Thanks
Jharm

Should you be missing that often? Dunno, ask the devs (don't count on an answer, though. We've been asking the same question for months). We all miss like that, so don't feel left out
