With a Long Vibro Axe of 104-362 damage , 4.6 speed (unsliced. need to get that done) and medium !! armor piercing.. why would you even want a vibro lance ??

From what I hear, the range modifiers are much worse, speed is only slightly better, damage is comparable and armor piercing is a whole level worse ..

Plus, the vibro axe and tantel armor make you look like Lando Calrissian in Return of the Jedi ...

Give me one good reason to use a vibro lance... please !

Range mods are roughly -32/-32/-32 instead of -55/-55/-55 with the LVA. And it does electricity damage instead of kinetic, which can be good for fighting something vulnerable to electricity.

It is light AP instead of medium, the speed is usually about a second better unsliced, damage is about 80 points lower on average.

It's a good one to use after novice before you get accuracy bonuses and after that to keep with you if you need electricity damage.

i prefer the VL, i have one with a powerup/slice that hsa 2.4 spd (dont have other stats memorized) my LVA i use for things with good electric protection but most things I fight have more kinetic so with that and accuracy to account for the VL is my preferred choice. We still need more accuracy on our weapons and less HAM and increased range (I add this to almost all my posts now hoping to be seen by a combat dev or something!)

well i used vl till i got stances 2 and support 2, before that i didnt like teh attack speed of lva (speed sliced even) or the lots of misses. but after i got those two boxes i havnt even touched my vl.

its electric, not kinetic damage, i only use it on mobs with over 50% kinetic resist (i.e. graul maulers, toxic mereks, sludge panthers...etc.)

ahh... gotcha... It all comes down to the damage type.

So are there any other weapons that do anything besides kinetic or electric ? Polearms, that is.

There is the *whiff* damage type that can occur at random sometimes. It's a type of damage that causes the target to chuckle, thereby losing valuable calories, as you completely miss them with huge weapon you've supposedly mastered. There is no known defense against this type of damage. Other than that, nope.

What are the ranges on these weapons? How far is the std attack and how far is lunge?

range mods on vl are better.....

they are both good after vibro motor enhancments

4m standard not sure on lunge but we get the (prepare of pun) Shaft

Lunge1 has a range of 15m last I checked.

Until I master, I only use my vibrolance and my Basic lances. Speed lance when fighting NPC's and Damage lance when I fight monsters.

Any monster with a resistance to Kinetic but Vulnerable to electric, use the VL.

Right now, the ONLY time I use my LVA, is when I'm destroying an empty lair, and my teammates are tapping their feet waiting for me to kill it.
