Hey all,

I know the conventional wisdom is to go up the Stances tree first in order to get the speed benefits. However, with the changes on test including COB & Block on the defense tree, would it make sense to go up that first in stead?

I would think that the increased tank & block ability would make us more survivable in solo and group. The speed seems good to me, but then again, it's probably because I just got done playing rifle (6 - 10 seconds between some shots at novice really, really, really sux.).

What do you guys think?

CoB will be a huge help to us. I think going up defenses would be best.

Center of Balance. It's a special move that increases the chance you will block/dodge/counterattack etc. for a period of time during which you cannot use specials or it will cancel the move.

I agree with gunman, defensive is good to get, sweep is useful again and should be used. Before the KD-timer patch that not only put KD on a timer but also made it ineffective altogether, defensive was the standard tree to get first, now that KD is useful again, even while still on a timer, I recommend going up to defensive III first, then offensive I, then stances II, then it's up to you to pick.Just my recommendation, others may differ.

I definitely agree with everyone here on grinding the DEFENSIVE TREE first which benefits you most when soloing. I can't stress this enough for anyone going up the pikeman tree. This is above all the most needed tree to master first over anything elese. Its probably the hardest and most beneficial of all I think.
