Just finished with my Master pikeman for my holocron. I will be so over joyed to be rid of this worthless melee class. I am a Master TKA and Master Medic. I have been Master Ranger, Master Scout, Master Fencer. I can honestly say pikemen is a waste of your time. This is not to say if you have some special reason to love playing pikeman... then no matter how lousy this class is you will love it. Nothing can be done about that. But for you newbies who are pondering taking up pikeman... its like I said, unless your have some "love" for the pike, dont take this class up.

I would just like to add, although I could list the reasons pikeman is a gimp class, all you need to do is read down this forum and see why this class is crap. Sorry if I offended any you of hardcore Pikemen but the truth will set you free. And then you get a new class till PIkemen is given its ups.

quit your complaining. yes we have issues with accuracy, my to hit mod is always -50. but you get over it. you can swing **edit** fast... i have a powerup'd LVA with a speed of 2.6, and after stances4, you hit pretty fast. sure the defenses are lacking, but that is what pets are for.... I mean spinning knockdown, spinning dizzy, just straight up polearmhit 2. granted if i wasn't nudged toward pikeman I would have just kept BH. However, this has allowed me to get differnet skills, and i'm happy for it. anyone who wants to try pikeman... the best thing to do is to try it. but don't be disappointed or complain till you have mastered at least one column in it. it is a little slow and trying in the beginning.

Don't count out the pikemen yet.

Personally I love it, much more than my TKA character. Not to say it isn't full of probelms, but I wouldn't trade it for any of the professions. Just know going in you'll probably never be a butt kicking PvP guy, but in PvE you'll often be some one the group comes to depend on.

has a TKA ever hit for 17k?

anyway yes we are gimped but we are going to get fixed and be a fun tanking PVE class and I like that I don't care if I am not a PVP master. (although pikeman vs rifleman @ 0m is fun)

Do you not read english well? I said I was a Pikemen Master. YES I SAID PIKEMEN MASTER! Now that we got this straight, we can move to my other comments. I am not complaining. I am only saying this is a gimp class. Yes if you love the pike then you love the pike. No matter how crapola this class is your going to love it. But if you want to see who is better at pvp or even taking out mobs then dont look to pikemen. Also smart guy. With the new patches you will not be able to have anything but a level 10 pet. So good luck with your acupa. I am not complaing. Justpointing outthe obvious for newbs who might not want to waste their **edit** time working on a gimp class. But if you like pikemen, I hear that Bio Eng. is a good class too (rofl) because we allknow their stuff is working too. Good day.

Love these posts, clueless who know nothing about the class. Before you even respond, master means nothing.

I know a master pikeman who hit it within the first month on wanderhome yet me, at around 2/1/0/0 dropped him, was close, but I did. Why? Because I know how to play my class and he did not.

Pikeman is not completely gimped. We're below par, but if you know how to play a class, then you can make it work. I'm the main tank on hunts, I can control my aggro, and tank what TKA's get dropped by.

Your experience with the class, makes it just that, YOUR experience. Your opinion, not fact.

So you are Bragging about taking out a newb? What is your point? Oh I am sorry I thought I was speaking with an expierenced gamer here. Well again, if your going up against another person who knows what they are doing with thier class you will enjoy being meat for the beast. I enjoy pikemen but do notenjoy being corpsed. Yes its so wonderful to have to pixie and and eat and drink before each fight to balance the ham costs, blah blah balh. You know, because you always have time to do this right? Not to mention the buzz from the food does not always last the whole fight long. Again with you and your pets. If you read the note about "dabblers" and what they are doing to CH. Your little trick ofdabbling just enough to use creatures will soon end. And yes you will have to tank for yourself. Oh that is right you plan on using your level 10 acu pa. Like the Pike, dont like the Gimp.
