Thread: Fighting Stormtroopers as a Melee class
Fighting Stormtroopers is an exercise in frustration. I fee like I am running a marathon, the lower level Imp NPC's do not do it and the higher level Dark Troopers do not run like this. Are Stormtroopers bugged in some aspect, albiet mildly? I don't think they should run like Chuba's
How do you guys handle it, or do you just ignore them as a target and fight something that stays put?
Thanks, Jharm
First I run to each individual stormtrooper and hit them with a bleed, then I run to any two standing close together and hit them with the dizzy/area attack, then area knockdown. If they fall I beat the living daylights out of them with the area attack over and over again. Then I run after whoever hasn't bled to death.
Also, I just got myself some npc faction pets (my goons, as I call them) and send them after the runners, seeing as they have a ranged atack and I don't. But before I had them I went with bleed everyone, hit and knockdown whomever is around, then chase after the runners. My record distance for being kited is 285m across Rori
at which point I had picked up several other camps and a few critters.
I agree though, 285m of running just isn't right. Most mobs turn around after 100m max. I have found that if you let them run and don't chase after them they will come back sooner rather than just keep running.
Sorry, this isn't a huge amount of help, but I do think landing a bleed on every npc in sight helps, other than that just sigh and let them run. (it helps if you tell yourself that they are VERY afraid of you)
