My vote goes to the action-bleed attacks. With high damage long vibro axe and damage boost, I can stack bleeding damage for over 2.5k damage per tick

While we come nowhere near the damage of a TKA, I think that's pretty good. When I was master pistoleer I could never get over 1k bleeding damage.

Whats your definition of best?

Most damage, coolest animation, most useful?

If its most damage I think the updated damage mod and dps findings have it spin attack 2. Not quite sure.

If its coolest animation, I'd cast my vote for ph3.

If usefulness is what you crave, I'll agree, action hit is the way to go.

Incorrect. Even if you do more DPS, it's still spread out over three pools (Health, Action, Mind) while I will be doing action to one pool only. So even if you do 3000 damage over the time i do 2000 damage, I will still kill the mob faster, since you're damage is spread out over all three pools.

/sigh ... joy

Ok, I'm not quite sure you understand what I was saying. I agreed with you way up top that action hit was indeed the most useful special in the pikers repertoire. This is open to debate depending on your flavour.

However when raw data shows that x move has more dps then y move that makes x move more damaging. There is no debate on this point. Itis fact.

This is what I was saying, not that yes bleeding an action pool and then attacking said action pool is not a very good idea but that spin attack 1 by data figures IS THE MOST POWERFUL MOVE, it doesnt matter WHAT pool it attacks. It just does more damage.

Now so this ends a very painful death,I will agree with you again, to make you happy, that by you bleeding a mob and then spamming leghit 3, you will most likely kill said mob first. Then I will reiterate my point once more that going by the numbers spin attack is a more powerful move.

Thank you.

I'm not sure you understand what you are saying yourself. You just said that DPS is what really counts, and now you say that you deal more damage with bleeding and action hitIII.

Thing is, DPS is good in some cases. If you are in a large group for example, you get more damage with a attack that deal alot DPS. When in a small group I use mostly round-attack, since I can hit alot of monsters that way. I don't kill fast, but I deal more damage overall.

When I play solo I use bleeding I and II and action hit IIor III, since I kill faster that way (allthough I overall don't deal more damage, but that's of no concern since i'm alone in and get all the exp.

So...

Solo = bleeding attack I & II+ actionhit I, II or III

Group = roundattack if there are several mobs around... otherwise any attack with high DPS

PVP = action bleed, knockdown, action hit

OK.

Spin attack 1 = 1 move

actionhit 1 & 2 + leghit 3 = 3 moves

Your 3 moves do more damage then one move. You win.

spin attack 1 dps > leghit 3 dsp OR action hit 1 dps OR action hit 2 dps

Now do you see what I'm trying to say.

It was decided that as far as time/damage ratio goes the best special move is spin attack 1 or 2, i forget wich one....spin attack 2 has the same damage modifier as PH3....but is a little slower....

IT really varies though....

I don't use Leg hit 3 as i dont' notice any more damage than leg hit 2 on average, but i do notice an increase in down time and HAM....

I don't use bleeds much, beocuse any battle i plan on living thru is usually over too fast to worry aobut it....for a bleed to be an efficient source of damage it has to tick twice, and since bleeds have a 20 second gap between ticks, that means you have to be in battle for 40 seconds after you actually use the bleed attack, for it to have been a benificial move. If they are dead before the first tick then it was a COMPLEATE waste of a move in the first place, and if they die before the second tick, you would have been better off using a move that does more damage than the bleed itself.....
on the other hand....things that you are having trouble beating due to armor and defenses is an entirly different matter.....becouse with out the bleed they could last for more than 40 seconds....so it is a good thing then....

Area Attacks 1 and 2 are a complete waste....

Sweep 1 is VERY usefull, but polearm lunge 2 is like the EXACT same move....does about the same damage, seems to have a more consistant rate of sucsessful knock down.....and has a longer range...

Sweep 2 is just fun....i love just running into a group and having them all fall on thier face....even though anymore i usually miss 1/2 them and then about 1/3 of the 1/2 that i hit resist the KD....not as fun anymore....but impressive when it does work....and if you can dizzy knockdown a bunch of people.....and even 1 or 2 don't get up....that helps alot, especially with NPCs and their special moves....

Stun 2....i usually throw this in just in case it actually helps, but i have never noticed a differnce...but any difference that it makes is subtle and harder to notice, but not necissarily useless....

When fighting groups of things that are hard to kill my combat spam goes, SA2,SA2,(hopefully dizzy now),Sweep2,SA2(last chance for dizzy before they get up,Stun2, SA2 as neccisary, and then pick them off when they get low on health with PH3 and LH2

My single opponent strategy is even more simple....SA2(untill dizzy sticks ori think it isn't going to),Sweep1(untill knocked down), warcry 2(i have time now, sometimes it takes a few tries), then spam the hell out of PH3....it will stand them back up....but they are warcried, so it isn't so bad.

My vision for TKAs....

If your going solo then spinattack can't compete with action bleed & Leg hit 3. Even if it deals more damage, it deals damage to several statpools, correct?

Bleed attack must be to overall most useful pikeman skill. Stacking action bleed 1&2 on several targets, then you just starting using leg hit untill they are all dead

btw, is action hit 3 missiong it's sound animation?

Sorry bro. Go find the post.

I'm pretty sure spin attack 2 had the highest DPS. Which means damage per second. Which is what you want lots of.

If you can hit me twice for 400 per in the time it takes me to hit you three times at 300 per, well then I win, even though your move did more damage.

I have to find that post,I'll brb.

Arrrrgh. I was wrong.

It was spin attack 1 not 2 that has the highest dps.

Check out the post.
