Well I wasn't testing it, but I was just going through my comabt spam and I saw where I "counter attacked" aka blocked, and under that it said "my 46% armor leggins prevented 29 points of damage", and there was no spam stating that I had been hit for xx damage, just that I had "counter attacked"

so...maybe armor does absorb some of the damage that gets through..Ill post screenies later...

Yeah, when you're wearing armor, that's the best way to show that you've blocked something, when your armor takes some of the damage. I noticed this back in November. I think the question is how much is getting blocked by the armor, is it the correct amount?

Ah, ok I thought we wern't sure if we were blocking any damage at all...

Still in the combat log you see

#1 is me being hit without blocking I was hit for 86 points damage and my armor prevented59 points of damage, and under that agian without blocking I was hit for 64 points of damage and my armor prevented 44 points.

#2 Shows where I did block, and my armor only prevented 29 points of damage

#3 Agian shows I blocked, and my armor only prevented 27 points of damage

Now just looking at these numbers, the damage prevented by my armor without blocking, take 59,and then with blocking, take 29, is pretty much half of without blocking...did that make sense?

Actually, it matches up with what I've seen in my previous self-tests. I don't have any hard data, i.e. another player knowing exactly what he hit me for, how much was stopped by armor and how much damage actually went through. Once we have some hard data we can conclusively say what your combat log (with nice arrows, by the way) indicates: that the damage left unblocked is decreased further by armor.

Thanks for the log. It's a nice indicator of what's happening.
