Any advice for a Pikeman in the works? Im 4/0/1/2 atm and plan on hunting them tonight with at least one other (BH/Carbineer). Any ideas as to strats to use? I am also 4/4/1/3 in ch and have a nice cl44 pet that i will be using.

Im looking for buffs/food/spice to use and attacks/ pikes to use. I currently have a set of ubese that is 60% to kinetic and 15% in the other areas.

Thanks!

heres my advice...buy fishak and muon. Then go with master doc buffs. Then tell you buddy to use fire knockdown for you...that way you will always be attacking a dizzy/kd opponent. When i hunt with a master bh we knock out everything very very fast. So, try this tactic out...

bring a doctor and a creature handler. believe me, as melee class, you will turn into the tank...that won't work well.

oh, and as for food and such. get buffed first off and make sure they dont skimp on the secondaries. wont be much fun killing yourself before the night sisters can, now will it?

also, depending on the way you have your ham set up, might want to consider an entertainer buff as well.

Foods i carry at all times: Fishak, ryshcate, and corellian fried ice cream.
spice: muon (don't use it unless you absolutely have to, a downer at the wrong time = insta death).

Absolutely, at higher defense levels, you see a dramatic increase in your defenses and it becomes worth the mind cost. At lower levels in the defensive tree, though, it's questionable if the mind cost is worth it (unless your focus is buffed, of course)

Well, I have solo'd everything up to Elders and have taken sever sisters on at once. I have a melee def of 181 and that really helps. My LVA is speed 3.3 too. I have my mind close to 3k with dancer buff, Fishak and two glucose pattes and I hold the muon gold in reserve. I usually intimidate2 and warcry2 and then spam polearmHit3 and down they go. If there are several I like to use spin 2 for the dizzy then sweep for the kd. Usually one or two go down and stay down for a bit allowing me to kill them one at a time. it really does go fast though. I am amazed how fast the Rancors and low lvl NS die (initiates, rangers, etc.)

Like antares said a master brawler is a must. the high level NS have pretty decent defenses to our underpowered KD attacks. Having the Ability to WarCry 2 then is a must. My advice is to brind the following proffesions and use the following advantages.

Master Brawler - Preferable a master TK (there nice defenses will keep him alive)

Master Combat Medic (healing from a distance without aggro)

Master Commando (burn babay burn)

Master Bounty Hunter (make sure she is KD Dizzy)

Also you should prolly get FULL buffs meaning Doc, Dancer and Musician.

MMMMMM... Muon

Even wth this amount of support its will be a challenge but its quite an accomplishment when ya do bring em down.

i have killed axkva many a time, but never with my pikeman. while doing the cave, remember, pull one at a time. i love getting there and there's a group outside getting ready to go in. i see the brawlers set to tank and the commandos set to burn and the carbineers set to do their unlimited kd. then they have 5-6 sisters on them and they all die. pulling one at a time is a must.

this is what my sister raid party looks like: master commando/master tka (me), master fencer/master brawler (tank #1), master fencer/master pistoleer (tank #2), master combat medic, master doctor. this is my ideal party to go with, but our schedules are sometimes conflicting so we cannot always do this. we sick the 2 tanks on axhva and the master brawler will warcry2, intimidate2, 1hlunge2 (surprisingly, this will work sometimes) the other tank is using a republic blaster spamming stopping shot on her. if the first tank falls, the other tank will switch to a melee weapon and commence the whacking. i will run in and stack 4 burns. the combat medic will toss aoe heals and the occasional mind heal. the doc will rez if need be (he usually has the least amount of fun out of all of us )

we've actually been able to kill axkva without having doc buffs. the fencer/bralwer tank also has the tka meditation line, so he could power boost, so that helps a little. still, we were pretty amazed that we all survived.

oh, and after about 6 times looting that witch, the best i've gotten is 8 identical vibro motors. the last time, she dropped nothing.

ive taken out 20 low level sisters at the same time in a few seconds. get a good damage slice on an LVA, use a powerup, get buffed, pop a fishak and a couple bivolis. take your vehicle to the entrance. then take a muon and burst run to about 3/4 of the way down the cave spamming warcry 2 all the way down. once youre surrounded, walk towards the camera spamming warcry 2, then stand there and do about 5 area 2 hits this will make sure almost all of them are dizzy, once the warcry 2 is about to wear off, spam sweep 2. took out a ton of em at once this way in about 30 seconds.

I've tanked an elder before, all the way through, just me. I wasn't dealing the damage, though. It was myself, a commando and a master combat medic who healed me a couple of times and my mind once. I was buffed, had fishak, rhyscate(x2) and muon, and I still had to have my mind healed once and my health twice.

It was a blast. Master Brawler and extra defenses from tka/fencer/etc will help more than you can imagine.

I've tanked a few elders, Axkva, and Dark Jedis (which are fairly similar). Basically it's luck that they won't use a really high damage attack on you. Armor doesn't seem to block some attacks and there is a definite likelihood of just dying outright no matter what. That said, you can still take a lot of these hits, it just depends on how hard you get hit and how high you are buffed. 9k is rather high and I tend to get hit for about 1-2k which I can take unless it's mind.

I would recommend starting with a spawn of rangers or stalkers. These can usually be pulled one at a time and are fairly manageable. I recommend using kinetic resist armor, buffs, food, spice (at first anyway, I won't use it against the easier ones now). Master brawler helps a lot. You will want to line up NS's as they come at and warcry, then land bleeds and then intimidate. The best people to bring with you are: combat medic, doctor, commando. A CH is unnecessary if you have master brawler. After that it's just a matter of damage.

Stacking defenses across professions can help a lot against the lower level guys, but I find that once you get to protectors, it seems to be basically worthless. I have yet to notice an elder, Axkva, or a Jedi score a miss against me.

But I wouldn't start with those guys. Rangers are a good place to start.
