Thread: What is the best PvE Pikeman build?

I want to build the strongest PvE Pikeman possible. I already have a pretty strong build right now, but it's not amazing. I want to mow through Nightsisters like wet grass. I want Rancors to run from me. I want to rule PvP! I am a former extremely successful Armorsmith, so I have plenty of money, and I'm in probably the largestPA in the game... so I can get whatever I need. All considerations other than killing power should be ignored, since I'm pretty much covered in the money/hook-ups area.

Master Brawler is MUST as is novice medic. Then just dabble in the other melee professions for the defense mods. WOrks great. YOu can solo up to three spell weavers that way.

Some might disagree with me, but I think Ranger helps a great deal with beasts. I worked my way up the scout and carbine trees for a while before taking up pikeman for the second time. I didn't notice the accuracy problem as much as others because of the creature to-hit bonus.


The bonuses from beinga ranger are not as great as CH, master brawler or dabbling in other professions, but I thought I wouldput another angle out there.


Another thought is to master an elite marksman skill to obtain ranged damage mitigation. I have not figured out how this works/stacks with melee damage mitigation, or even if it does, but it is again another angle to aproach your question.

The ultimate PVE build.


Here is my suggestion.


Master pikeman + 0-4-4-0 doc + 4-1-4-1 scout.


All 250 skill points spent, the ability to self buff and a well rounded set of scout skills. Good terrain nav mods, good maskscent mods, good creature knowledge and good harvesting rates and the ability to pretty much heal yourself of anything with the exception of disease and poison. Throw in some BE enhanced clothing for warcry/intimidate bonuses, some maskscent bonuses and some injury treatment bonuses and you are set.


Get a BE enhanced shirt with either a +14 warcry/initmidate or +5 melee defense/+ 14 stun defense. Get +14 to +17 warcry intimidation bandolier so you can wear it with armor and get maskscent/injury treatmentenhanced paramilitary pants to maximize your maskscent and bring your wound treatment up to master doc level.


That's what I would suggest. Unparalled combo of healing/soloing/hunting/fighting PVE power

If you do not go the doc route I suggest master pikeman + master brawler + master scout + 3-0-3-0.


Again a wide range of abilities and the ability to use experimented stim C's.


Remember you want the strongest PIKEMAN possible for PvE. If you wanted to be the ultimate hunter youcould go master pikeman + master ranger but you would sacrifice the master brawler benefits and be very limited with medical skills. That build would dictate your dependence on docs because without SOME kind of buff the HAM costs for Pikeman will destroy you. Also my previous idea with going doc gives you the ability to self buff so you are a very strong pikeman with the ability to pretty much solo at will.
