I am currently grinding pikemen and am very interested in the energy lances. Are these looted items or something like the ris armor where weaponsmiths get a special schematic.

the lance isn't even that good. The dots on it are really bad... they have a strength of 40. thats horrible. the damage isn't that great...zero armor piercing. zero mods. the only plus is that it's energy, it's unique, and it's got a particle effect.

All disease DoTs on weapons max out at 40. It's 40 strength, sure, but it lasts for 20 minutes. Great for making someone mad, but it only works if they kill you and can't heal themselves.

yea nothing wrong with that DoT and its 2 types so thats even better, too bad its not like mind/focus lol

I was just saying that all disease DoTs are strength 40. The poisons and fires can have much greater strength values.

i have lances that have strength 200 and strength 108. strength 40 is nothing compared to that.... yea 8000 uses as well. besides, i dont really wanna piss anybody off and wait 20 minutes for the thing to re-dot...not when i can have something better. i'd much rather like to kill them with something that lasted60 seconds and dealt crazy damage.
