Thread: Rare Lance Drop. Is this worth anything?

I'm afraid I am no Pikeman, but I could still definately appreciate the skill mods on this lance.
I looted it from a Nightsister on Dathomir. I was wondering what you guys who are more familiar with the profession think of it. Do the mods outweigh the low loot quality damage? etc? Is it worth anything?
If anyone is interested, i'll probably be selling it on Chilastra.

Quite the nice VL. Long Vib. Axes are better but that VL is nice. Sell it for 50k for starters. It can always be sliced for better dmg or better speed.

I wasnt myself impressed with the damage but i figured those stat mods were nice enough. damage definately.

The stat mods would be worth something if they were on a decent lance. The stats on the lance are crap, thus no one would want to use the lance, thus the stat mods are useless. I bet you could still sell it for 50k though because there are some people out there who just like to collect any "abnormal" weapons even if they are crap.

A roughly equivalent VL was selling on Shadowfire for 8k. It only had two skill mods (dodge and resistance to intimidation), but was otherwise quite similar. I bought it because I wanted to see if I'd actually dodge while holding it. Through a half hour or so of testing it I didn't dodge once.
Their only value is as curiosities or collector's items, not as weapons. The mods just don't make up for the lousy speed & damage.

barely, I have many many of those. best one is +25 speed and +25 polearm damagfe along with mind flame and health disease.

Yea, thats a tough call. The speed is horrendous and the damage is blah, although I've never seen a breakdown on how the damage skill mods really effect your hits so end result the damage might not be too bad. The dodge is nice, but again the speed hurts plus soon we'll be able to eat stuff that gives us alot more than that. If you can get away with a great speed slice it might be a nice toy to carry around when you're unarmored and collecting from harvestors in a fairly safe zone. Which is kinda pointless cuz it would be a waste of time and inventory space...sell it on E-bay

Good luck trying to hit anything w/ -65 accuracy mods across the board.

this is one i looted yesterday:
Speed: 4.2
Damage: 152-609
Wound:45.8%
Acuracy: -65 at all ranges (blah)
HAM: 63/50/27
Specials:
Defence Vs. dizzy +8
Dodge +15
Polarm accuracy +25
I got it sliced i nteh end, and had a +28% dmg slice...so its now 170-760 ish...cant remember exactly

but that is what project dead eye is for. it will make the accuracy more like -30ish instead of -65.
but still it's a nice weapon need t get it sliced still
