I was 4-3-3-3 in TKA, and decided that I needed a change of pace. So, after I dropped it, I looked through the other brawler trees. We have a Fencer in our guild, so I didn't want to go with that. Swordsman looked nifty, but I had always wanted to try Pikeman. So I grabbed a wooden staff and went to it.
The first time I got incapped by a gnort out in the Theed newbie fields, I knew this was the right class for me.

You're the same way I was back when I had pikeman (that was before my holo told me MBH...bastards). I loved the challenge of pikeman so much.
I'm thinking of picking up pikeman again. I miss swinging my lance like a madman.

Yeah the pikers have what we like to refer to as "our own perspective" on the SWG world... ok, it is mostly a topdown perspective since i spent most of my time on my butt lying incapped.
Still i rather like the view when i have been put down by the next TK grinding female in hotpants or a patterned slip dress.
And u learn to appreciate the better things in life a lot more... U camp longer becoz u need more healing, u have quite a lot of time to ponder the great mysteries in life while looking at the stars, and so on...
And all the docs wanna be your new best friend.

Heh, when ever mounting up with a new medic I always tell em, but they still continue to be suprized at the xp they pull off me.

Yea it is the only combat elite profession u can duel newbe for2:30 min andand dont get incapt

no doubt the other day i had a friend who is a swordsman want me to db him since he was overt and we needed to trade. Well i fought him with specials trying to make it fast and he didnt do anything just autodefend and i barely beat him.......
oh did i mention that HE WENT UNARMED, he was not using his sword and he did not use specials and he does not have tka. He was also just in his underwear (since he was getting db'ed he put his armor on droid so he didnt decay it) and i had 77% ubese on
My god this was a statement to me that i need to get many aa skill tape for this profession

well pikeman does have its perks.
its a showman proffession. No , really. the best thing to watch is 2 pikemen going at it with reinforced metal staffs. for the whole 10 minutes.

My doc buddy and I, him a M. Doctor and starting CH, me a M. Ranger and pikeman, go running around quite a bit together. We were on Lok one day, fighting through a lair. I managed to get two of them off the lair before the others popped up, so we were doing good.
Someone stopped by just as I pulled those two. He stood there for a while, then sat down. Once we'd killed them both he said, "That's the longest fight I've ever seen. I didn't know doctors could go through stims that fast."

that's nothing, I gave up TKM and 200 melee and ranged defense including fencer to take up pikeman.
