Im currently 2/1/1/2 in the pikemen tree, i have enough exp to train in stances 3 and get spin attack 2, but i was wondering if it would be better to go with offensive techs 2 and get area 1. So my question is which one does more dmg? Just looking for what skills will help me grind pike faster. Thx for the help

I suggest going for spin attack 2 cause area attack 1 damage sucks anyways, which puts you one step closer to the next speed bonus, which in turn will let you hit more, which in the end does more damage and makes the grind faster...

thx thats what i did... dumb a$$ me didnt read 4 posts down on the thread that says "which tree should i go up first". But thanks for responding and not flaming me for not looking on the boards for topics on this subject.

Area2 does more damage than spin2, though. I've been testing this and spin2 is a 2.5x damage mod and area2 is more like 2.8 or 3.0. My numbers keep indicating 2.8, but I think that is an odd number for the devs to make, so I'm still testing it, but so far area2 is definitely more damageing than spin2.

True, Antares, but I honestly don't think that area2 being more damaging than spin2 changes the fact that going up stances first is probably the smart thing. Area2 may be more damaging, but is it more important than +30 speed?

I never implied that it was better to get area2 first. Stances is a much better line to get before Offensive, hands down. I'm just saying that the dmg mod on area2 has been increased.

It might still be. I haven't tested it along with some other ones.
