Pikeman Archive

this isnt just what would go well with pikeman on my char, i already have my uber melee build. This is for my other char on the same server (have 2 accounts) i *can* have them ingame at the same time, without too much trouble.

I was thinking along the lines of commando and TKA (just because he is already master TKM)

this way when i want to take on the uber things in the game i can just set him at the back with a flamer and then use my guy to tank untill it drops...thoughts?

I am really liking having 0/4/4/0 Doc. It allows me to stay up, buff when they drop, and to rez others if needed.

If you are gonna use your Pikeman as the "tank", then go commando / smuggler with the second. (think Last Ditch with a Launcher Pistol) that is of course assuming you really want to play a commando. If not there are a plethora of possibilites for a support character. Rifleman / Doctor comes immed. to mind as a nice ranged support charcter for your tank. Personally I have 2 accts as well, and to this point have kept one as a complete non-combat crafter - while the other is on his way to UBER combat status. I have yet to try using the 2 as a combat duo (might be interesting seeing as i have 2 PC's side by side in my office anyway) anyhow here are the best 2 combos i can think of to support a melee tank:

Master Marksman, Master Commando, Brawler 4-0-0-0, Smuggler 0-0-4-0, Pistoleer 3-4-4-4

Master Medic, Doctor 4-4-4-0, Marksman 4-0-0-4, Master Rifleman, and 19 points left over for whatever

Sutek Amon'Ra - Sunrunner

Khadim - Disgruntled Master Droid Engineer - Sunrunner

Im a master Doctor myself aswell as master Pike, but I think its enough to be able to buff yourself. Then you dont have to rely on doctors to buff you all the time. I cant even imagine using my pike without my buffs

my PA has docs in it who buff us for free if we are doing a group hunt, and the odd 10k here and there doesnt really dent me (did so many quenker missions to get master )

i'm now thinking of doing commando and rifleman and keeping what i can of TKA
