Thread: CM nerf ... how will it affects us ..

I think everyone see it comming ... We can expect a CM nerf soon (3-4 months huh ...)
I don't know what it will be ... but it will probably affect us since one of our few strength are the dots (Disease/Poison ... they already nerfed (well fixed) Fire with Fireblanket) ...
But how will they nerf them ... putting Poison/disease Healing packs in medic ?? Would be bad for us ... but I'm for this Idea ...
Reducing Dots strength ?? Maybe they could leave our dots weapons alone then ..
Applying the 75% PvP rulz on Dots ?? Really bad for us ... exept if they increase our dots strength ...
Anyway ..even if Poison/Disease become useless like Bleeds ... I still can't wait this nerf because the CMs are definitly ruining this game ...

I imagine the most likely solution to the CM problem would be to have the PvP reduction apply to poison/diseases. I don't nessarily see this "nerf" to have too bad of a negative effect for pikeman. For my pvp experince, I really haven't had the need to use disease/poison lances. For me the biggest issue has been attack speed and accuracy. Hopefully with some armor and clothing attachments I can overcome that problem. Anyways, back on topic I think if any class needs to nerf it's CMs, Usually I try to be the last to shout "NERF!", but when one profession has the ability to do 500+ mind damage per tick AND use it in an area, then it's time for a good swing of the nerf bat.

Alamen u really should get some of those dot lances - makes all the diff
to the original poster if the 75% CM nerf comes in which i dont generally agree with(just the spider venom poison inclusion was truly incomprehensible), we may be alright. Because their damage is worked out from a Stim effectiveness, whereas ours is a straight number - this might save us(just a theory).

DoT's on lances shouldn't even be touched. Considering the rareity of 200+ mind poison/fire lances and given the fact that pikeman rely on these... Altering them would just result in the rest of the pikeman community leaving.
Pikeman spend arse-loads of cash and/or hours trying to loot good lances. Whereas a CM can craft a poison/disease that's up to 5 times stronger then the average mind related DoT.
