Thread: Has this every happened to you?

Well, tonight I was doing what I normally do with my Master Swordsman/Master Rifleman combo and thats hunting nightsisters in search of pikes for my Master Pikeman/Master CH combo toon. After about an hour I loot a pretty nice vibro axe, probably my nicest yet(595 max damage, 90.7% wounds). I go back to Coronet before the server shutdown in search of a Master Smuggler to slice this beauty for me. Behold, there are no smugglers even around and I have about 4 minutes left before shutdown. I am looking at this beauty when I notice its condition right about 300. Well, it aint gonna be a use to my other guy if its not fixed, so I whip out my weapon repair kit. "You have completely failed to repair this item". Well, at least I was able to laugh about it after it happened. Just my luck. Happened to anyone else?

Oh, and I have been pretty much told that the optimum time to repair a weapon/armor is right when it drops under 50% condition. I also have heard that weapon/amor repair tapes have no effect on the ability to repair as of yet. Any thoughts or suggestions on that?

No amount of testing has shown whether the weapon condition affects weapon repair, that I know of.
Tests have also been inconclusive as to whether Weapon Repair tapes help. The consensus is that they DO NOT help, nor does being a Weaponsmith. Also, if you read the Weaponsmith forum, we're pretty sure something changed in Publish 7 with repair. There are alot more outright failures than before.

Yeah I notice alot of failures. With armor I have gotten alot better results although most of the time its the lowered condition repairs.
