Okay, pikes arent pistols. 220 mind poison isnt uber at all. Auction for lot 18 like this

Are making me sick. Even with a max damage of 682, that pike is not worth 7 mill MIN BID! With people like these looting nice pikes, Ill never grab a hold of one.

And notice the 2 mill minumum bid on the 220 mind poison lol. Funny.

That's not funny at all. My current record for cash is 630k creds...but these people who play 25/8 everyday have so much dough they can do things like that. And there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

I have a guildmate that sold a pair of NS lances, the normal crappy kind we all pitch or give to aspiring Pikeman for 50k a piece. The potency on these lances was less than 20% and the damage was 18 and 34 one the two. Action poison on the both of them as I recall.

It's a very sad thing, it really is. People see the DoT and are like "OGMWTFBBQ?!!?/!! A DOT!!! I R T3H UB3r NOVCIE BRAWLA NOW!!11!" and it pains me.

I saw the best one ever tonight.

5.6 spd

18 -196 dmg

79/98/3x HAM

Now comes the good DOT part

Action poison

Str - 1 (!!!!! That's right guys ... 1)

Duration - 42 seconds (well hell, you don't need that much time when you're doing 1 whole pt of dmg)

Potency - 14%

Uses - 72

And to buy this ultra-rare (no kidding) LVA, the price was ONLY a paltry 65k!!

You can't go wrong with that.

yes that post made me really mad...at first i thought it said 1 mil and i proceded to type a bid and i noticed it said 7. he would maybe get like 2-3 mil for it max

theres so many more to add to that list just on starsider...so theres even more elsewhere

After seeing tons of auctions like these, I'm surprised any of us even LOOK at the trade forums anymore...

The great thing is, people want a mil for the crap lances with 50 point dots. I bought a Janta Knife with a 180 mind poison for 20k. Lots more fencers out there than Pikemen...

Yea Enyr, its pretty rediciulous. But we're on the same server! We should get togther sometime and duel or something... we're such s small community we need to band together!

It is pretty insane what people ask (and sometimes pay!) for what is in essence, total s**t.

I have a little vendor in my house on Infinity server where I sell all my loots I dont need. A lot of it is NS stuff as I search for tasty weapons I can use myself. I sell the standard NSLance (7-133 with that disease dot) for 12k, 15k if its the one with double damage. After all,they area) pretty crummy and b) not exactly hard to get. Ive found a few more interesting ones recently so Im trying to work out a little pricing scheme for them. I cant see myself charging over 200k for anything that isnt very PvP useable tho... (contemplating selling an LVA with a 275str, 95%, 179s, 2300 use Mind poison that I picked up - thats a decent DoT no?)

I just want my vendor to be known for having a good selection of funkyloots at decent prices. If I want money so desperately I'll harvest the next uber-avian/herb meat or tear up some 20k+ missions for a few hours.

Incidentally, what is the best NS armour plates peeps have found? Usually I get the standard -10, -10, -10 ones and occassionally something like -16, -14, -16. However last night I founda set of (6) -18, -31, -18 ones. Do they get much better than that?

Bear with me here, as I'm not 100% on the combat system yet.....

Are the DoTs *really* that important?

I mean, I can make basic lances that outdamage almost all the looted lances I see on the tradeforum, yet those DoT lances go for stupid money.

Anyone care to explain to a newb Weaponsmith?

Dots do more damage than you can typically do by hust hitting somone in PvP because of the automajic damage reduction. Of course they can always cure the poison disease or fire if they have the right doctor skills but it will cost precious mind points to do so. Basically a good strong poison will win a fight for you since you can lay it on then just sit back and worry about defense.

Kauri's price are still fine ... most of the NS campers ask Antares or me before selling their stuff ... so you'll rarely see some aberration like the one you posted lol ...

Oh and .. your normal LVA will be reduced by --> 75% PvP reduction followed by 80-90% Armor Kinetic reduction ... that's why Dots are the key ... oh and once you sticked a Dot it will nevermiss ...and keep ticking even if you change your target ... or if you die ...
