Thread: Pikeman + Swords = Good together?

I was thinking of going master heavySwordsman + masterpikeman + master brawler...
I really wanna PVP and PVE and all that but im not intrested in being uber or anything.
But I just dont wanna go master both of these proffesions which have low defenses, if they dont work good together,in different situations!
Would this work???
I know that fencer and tka are much better with defense, but I think that swordsman and pikeman are the coolest...
I would just hate to see myself only using pikes or only using swords, instead of both in different situations - ike defensive tactics vs offensive, and pve vs pvp and so on

as a Msword/Mpike i can say i really do not use my pikeman in PvE...swordsman just outweighs any pro's in pikeman
as for Pvp unless you have an 'uber' damage pike/lance or high (300+) strength DoT weapons its not all that worth it..as most of our specials (dizzy, stun, KD) don't work 1/10 times against players

I dont know about PvP (I refuse to PvP) but in PvE Pike+Swords is very good. I was out on dath leveling one-handed on rancors, (yes, I solo'd a rancor with one-handed 3 and a 1.8 speed, cant-remember-the-damage Ryyk Blade lol 
) and when the rancor(s) would get the upper hand, I would switch to pike or swords (depending on how I felt at that time) and I killed it in a matter of seconds. (seriously!) Pikeman+Swordsman does = Good Together

I was master Pike/Master Sword/ Master Fencer
Honestly I think Master Fencer/Master Sword is the best melee combo with Master Brawler. You get Blast Damage and Stun Damage. With Stun Armour becoming more prevalent I predict blast will soon be FOTM for PvP. PvE wise Swordsman is the best Offensive Profession hands down, and Fencer is the best Defensive Profession.
