Thread: just hit novice and im looking down that long road

well i just hit pikeman novice and im looking down that long road of experience thinking...where in the hell do i start?
anybody have any suggestions on what type of mob i could camp for good xp?
i dont really care about money i just want to know what i could handle that gives good xp

Yep speed tree for sure, and get a nice Speed sliced Vibro lance or LVA to help.

cool so what would a good speed be? heck what would a good VL or LVA be?i think i have a LVA at like 3.9 or 4.4 and i think it does 100-350ish lol not sure just got it off the bazaar for 3k in 100% condition, best pike id seen since i havent seen any looted ones yet (too low to hunt for them)

Hehe My first post ever! Anyways for pikeman I have found that although i have about 2/3rds of boxes filled, (4-4-1-2), i went to dathomir to hunt giant baz nitches for about 11k each and did not have too much problem, had comp armor, 2 drinks of brandy and so on and my lva is 140-490 4.5 speed. Well I just found yesterday that i joined a solo group at the science station and took missions on nococous kilmarith (spelling close i hope) for about 18-19k each. Well with area attack 2 and max on speed tree that these guys were chumps despite have a difficulty rating of 178 on the mission terminal. They have no resists and i generated about 500k xp in less than 2 hrs. So I would say go and try these guys out with a buddy till u can solo them and watch the xp roll in. I got about 4.8k per guy and defeated about 8-10 guys per lair. They do poison and can damage yea pretty good so some good medic skills would be great to have. Squill cave is ok, geo caves are great as long as u have backup against the kwi's and droids but these dont pay money. I hope this was helpful

The LVA is your best weapon overall with it's MEDIUM armor piercing. I'm at 4-1-0-2, myself. TheLVA you have is actually great for only 3k. Get it sliced(hopefully for speed). A good Vibro-Lance is about the same in speed with less overall damage stats. Usually 70-80ish minimum damage, 200-300 maximum damage, armor piercing is LIGHT. The LVA will be your best friend in leveling up.
