96 if i remember correctly (with the "usual" 6.2 dot lances). And let me tell you being capped as pikeman is a whole new world

In case you're not aware of the formula, consider it a reverse percentage. If your skill is 10, you will be doing 90% of the weapon's speed. So if your skill is 90, you will be doing 10%. Which means that with a 10.0 speed weapon it will actually be 1.0.
At 100 skill you will cap with absolutely everything (0 second delay, but caps to 1 second), but you don't need more than 95'ish for a reasonably fast weapon, give or take
Special moves have a delay multiplier to them, usually around 2 or 2.5, if your weapon is 5 seconds and you do a 2x special, the delay will be 10.0 seconds, and you need at least 90 speed skill to cap that down to 1.0

just for the sake of self-reassurance, would i bet capped on a 4.5 speed LVA with no master brawler, but master pike and +23 speed. How about a looted 6.5 speed?

You have +98 speed, of course you're capped.

What's the best way to speed cap other than working the FS bonuses into the equation? I heard NS's drop attachments 15 or higher, is that true or are there other places that drop attachments that high. Would it be better to hunt for the high number attachments or just collect 3 lower number attachments I could stick into a Ubese shirt, Bandolier and Marabari Belt?

I got lucky enough win auctions for a +11 AA and a +12 AA through 2 consecutive days. Pricy, but it got the job done.
