I just went from Master Smuggler/Pistoleer and took up Master Brawler, NovicePikeman, and I'm still Smuggler(which I'm keeping). This proffession rocks! Amazing more people don't play this character. The animations and area attacks rock!

Where pikeman truly begins to shine is in the realm of the much (loved/hated) DOT weapons. Sadly, you have to be either insanely rich or insanely lucky to acquire such weapons. I myself, am lucky enough to have a fairly wide selection of really good weapons...which is the only reason I dont cancel my last remaining account. I couldn't bare to part with my 800 dam VL or my 1200 dam LVA.
Make friends with a swordsman and a rifleman and go hunt nightsisters.
Toughness I will agree with, though speed I would not call pitiful.
I guessmaybe you're thinking of PvP. In PvE, the Pikeman moves quick enough(though it would be better if we could hit our speed cap).

1200 dam LVA. OMG! That's nice! The best I have right now is 547 sliced w/ a PUP.

What's wrong with accuracy? I only have Master and a+5 tape and I always hit def stackers after intiming them.
And speed you can fix with tapes and/or PuP's

The only accuracy issuesI see are at the lower echelons of Pikeman and that can usually be offset with synthsteak. My friend is a master and he hits what he strikes pretty much all the time.
