Thread: Getting to Novice Pikeman/Pike Specialist
Use a reinforced combat staff until you get a lance certification (Polearms II), then keep it all the way till polearm IV, forget the LVA, you don't have the accuracy mods to handle it. You should be able to hunt anything around cities or tag along on a group hunt and get loads of xp.

heres a little know secret of mine that i will share with you guys.
outside of Narmle on that one planet no one steps foot on heh Rori there are aggro NPCs everywhere around the city. Some of them arent worth your time and only yield 350 or so xp but the slightly more difficult ones yield around 1k xp per kill if you group with somethin (pet droid whatever)and the nice thing is they are jsut like meatlumps they respawn as soon as you loot them.
So heres whati did. Got me some nice buffs a ubese helm and a few shots of muon just in case. There are usaully 3 or 4 of them in a spawn so either kill them all with something you may have nice skills in like tk or whatever and then milk the spawn one at a time to get your XP pretty quick.
Now if ya let them gang up on ya with just polearm 3 you may have a problem so like i said if you have tk pistol or whatever just kill em all then use the pike to pick em off pull them all away one by one and then loot them one by one to spawn another. hope it helps thats how i got my master brawler, novice pike, novice fencer and novice tk. worked wonders for me
i dont know much about this profession as i am reitivly new. but i just went from lvl 2 to lv 4 pikeman almost novice in about 4 hrs..
this is what i did. on shadowfire i go to theed there is almost always a doctor there buffing awsome buffs(4 out of 6 X's) 3000+. set moun in toolbar for rapid use. go to tusken fort. ( on shadow fire there is player city right next to it. with shutte so your not wasting buff time) run up to fort out side call a pet if you have one and start shouting to join a group. there are usaly at least 2-3 groups running around there al the time.. i know at this lvl even with a buff you can not take them out alone so what i did is just run in with pet attacking first hit everyone atleast once and then start working on one of the lesser tusken. generay other poepe wil be there helping me kill the tusken. ......my point is you get xp for every tusken you hit atleast once even if your not the one that kils them. just keep running around trying to hit everything and watch your mind!!!!!...good kinetic armour helps....if you get down to 50% of any one of your ham bars burst run outside the gates were the doctors sit racking up medic xp healing poeple. dont worry to much about dying tho generally there are doctor that enjoy getting the 900 xp for rez'ing poeple. and of course you may need more than one buff sesion.....the reason i ike this so much is there is no time between missions it is constant killing and a small pause to hea before heading back in......
i have found this very enjoyable and have met aot of new poeple. as i used to be a master rifleman and liked to keep my distance from everyone.
