hmm, so it is not as good as dodge then, where no damage is applied at all.

This means you can successfully block but still take the bull effect of any dot/bleed but if you were a fencer then no, you wouldnt. Is that right?

State attacks (stun, blind, bleeds, etc) still hit even on a dodge, but no damage. Block allows both, damage appears to be reduced by 50%.

It works, you still take damage though. How the armor effects the amount of damage you take after the block is debatable. I can attest personally that after a block my bracers are getting chewed up, but there prolly is a hole that hurts others. Not sure on the actual value but recall around 50% damage is dropped on you after a block, so imo, or at least from what I see you will wanna keep your bracers on.

So, a mob that is intimidated and who's hit is block has the damaged reduced to only 25%, yes?

A Block all dmg, let states through like all others

or

B Block 50% dmg, block states from getting through

personally i like B, it'd give us something unique in melee and help balance some

About the intimidate, yes, the damage you take would be 50%. Intimidate decreases the damage output from the target, block decreases the damage input to you.

Psykeman, I would also have to choose B, then, I guess...but that would never happen because it negates the existance of the state defenses.

I have a quick question then about block, I'm interested in making a pikeman, but I'm not too interested in having to wear a full set of armor, so I need this block issue cleared up. It's a 50% decrease, but the shots are only hitting our arms(hence the need for bracers) or what exactly?

that bracer thing is unfounded. I was just saying it was an interesting thought.

As is, the only thing people really know is it does about 50% of the regular average damage.

so....thats it.

it isn't terrible.

it is usefull in PvP

in PvE it dosen't seem to helo much

I just double-checked the bracer thing, any piece of my armor was taking the hit.

that'd be kinda cool if when we blocked, it was 50% of the damage and then it had to go thru our bracers.

So that way i could wear all my Ubese armor, and throw some nice, Composite bracers on. SO although i will be mostly vulnerable to all but kinetic, when i block, i wil be vulnerable to much less.

ANd then give us big boosts to block

so we do it more than fencers dodge

but we are the ones who have to take the enitiative to make it better over all than fencr's dodge.

So in duels, or regualar PvE, if we so chose, we coudl rely on wearing just bracers and be okay with it. Of course, since they will take most of the damage that normaly an entire suit would go thru they would ein effect decay much faster, but hey, it keeps or HAM less, and lord knows we could use that.
