Im new to pikeman. I first mastered brawler and started TK but i wanted to try pikeman. Now im 0022 and i got a nice LVA but i got a question. Im levelling on sharnaff but i dont have an armor on, cause of the ham uses on the weapons. I use a lot of specials for more xp. But i damage myself more then the creatures damage me. I also got master medic so i heal myself but i keep running out of mind and they keep hitting me on mind. I have bought different helms but they all use too much mind so it regenerates really slow.

Do you guys use armor at all ?
Which one do you use ?
or should i just look for a LVA with less then

im playing on infinity so there arent a lot of weaponsmiths yet that can make real good melee weapons .

Get buffed!!

Eat food!!

Take drugs!!

I like tat sunburns and nutron pixie, and occasionally low enc armor, never anything heavy.

Advanced Ubese armor is your friend. Food/drink/buffs/spice are your brothers and sisters. We have to make up for weak defenses and painful, painful HAM costs both. Your LVA actually has decently low HAM costs...

if you play with doc buffs your toughness mods (low as they are) will actually be enough. Use a combo of intimidate and warcry and the damage will be negated by your doc buffs and your toughness mods.

I also suggest going up the stances discipline for speed so you'll drop stuff faster.

ubese armour is your friend as a pikeman. Also, the mind bar is your most important value. when you have 10 health and action left, you can heal with a stim B and be abck to full almost, but when you're mind is 10 yer screwed. that's why entertainer buffs are mana from heaven. Plus, great excuse to get a 10 minute lapdance

I find that Ryshcate and Fishak work awesome together. If you are going for the doc buffs this is even more important. You can take a few Ryshcate and Fishak and pretty much not even worry about your mind pool (I use this with Muon Gold sometimes if I'm in a bind). If you are looking for a reduction on all HAM not just the mind switch out Fishak with BoH (Breath of the Heavens), it gives a nice +500 to all the HAM cost control stats.

As suggested before, drugs are your friends here as well. I can't count the number of times that I had Muon on the hotkey and hit it which resulted in me not dying.

I bought 2 sets of very high kinetic resistance Advanced Ubese. Took them to a slicer for an overall of encumberence reduction. I also have a toolbar on my hotkeys (I believe I placed them on 5) and my macro on the mainbar so it will equip all my armor by switching to panel 5, equipping the armor, returning to panel 1. This is useful for switching between baddies that you don't really have to worry about, and some punk who comes up behind you trying to get you killed. Just hit the macro and all the armor comes on.

With my template, statmigration and use of food, drinks and drugs(livin la vida cocaina), I still often find myself in need of armor when fighting high end mobs. If a beast hits for 2000 in damage andonehas 900 in HAMs,one would want some kind of damagereduction

I am currently usingcomposite armorpieces for leggings, boots, chest and headwear(blast/kinetic, acid/kinetic and one more I can't recall right now; think it was heat?). For my armsI got some Chitin Biceps(High %kinetic), and all the armorpieces are sliced for encumbrance(35-45%). I also got a full set of 75% kinetic Ubese armor ofcourse, but it's been a while since I used that one(I hate how the helmet looks).

For your HAM costs I recommend pumping up your secondaries with foods, drinks and drugs or perhaps a buff from a doc
