Melee/CM is a *BAD* idea

Ranged/Doc is also a *BAD* idea

Could be, THATS why everyone said doc instead....

I think the reason theychoose Doc instead of CM is because CM requires you touse more skill points. Going CM, you would have to blow an additional 15 points for the Novice Marksman skill. And I think the tree in Doc most would take would be the first tree, 4/0/0/0 (healing), not 0/0/0/4 (this is for crafting med packs and such). Below are the two templates you are contemplating using and the skill points you would have left over for each;

Master Pikeman/Doc 4/0/0/0 - 81 skill points remaining

Master Pikeman/CM 4/0/0/0 - 66 skill points remaining

Both basically have the same abilities, with the exception of theranged abilities and the neurotoxin skill you get from novice CM. I am TKM/Master Pikeman/Swordsman 0/0/4/4/Novice Fencer, so I am kind of partial to the Pikeman...but if I were you, I would try to maximizemy skill points around CM since you seem to be pointed in that direction. If you really want CM, I would pair it with a ranged profession since it requires the Ranged Support tree from Marksman. If you want Doc, it is a toss up since it requires Medic which requires nothing from ranged nor melee.

If you wanted a ranged profession, I may choose this template;

Master BH/MCM (or M.RIfleman, I just like the assortment of weapons the bounty hunter gets) - you would still have 37 skill points left over to try in other professions. I may either go pistols for the specials, or Rifles for some damage dealing.But the above template would be a pretty darn good PvP template.

Ifyou wanted a melee profession and healing abilities, I may choose this template;

Master Swordsman/Master Doc - This would leave you with 38 skill points to through around other melee professions.Swordsman will give you some damage dealing capabilities as well (although youmay want to take the accuracy trees from other melee branches to help with increasing your damage output). Pikeman is a nice alternative to swordsman, just not quite the damage dealer (but fun). Go for the advanced armor break in swordsman whatever you do, it helps immensely.

There are a million ways to go with this, andnone of them are really right or wrong. Just my thoughts, do what you think would be the most fun for you.Hope this helps your decision.

CM is a waste of SP for a meeler, get 4-0-0-0 Doc. They are nerfing Adreniline Boost so I'm not sure if 0-0-0-4 Doc is worth it anymore, might just be better off getting Gen Melee Accuracy.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

I agree with Rince. TKM with Master Pikes makes a great tank and it looks a heck of a lot of fun. However, I have to say I really dolike the way myMaster Swords/Master Pikes friend can plow his way through a mob.

If you are seriously interested in healing, then I think you should seriously consider mastering the Doctor profession alongside Pikeman. If youlike the idea ofplaying a pike wielding, damage healing, monster splatting, support profession then I think that is the best combination. For the record, my current template is Master Doctor/Master Pikewoman/Swords 0004.

Here is the best and what I have. I take out NS stalkers lvl 85 and up easily.

-Master Pikeman

-TKM

-Master Combat Prowess/reflexes 4400

-medic 0010 (get plus 17 healing efficiency jacket or shirt or whatever and you will heal for 900 every 6 seconds)

**starting my jedi soon, but my alt will be the template listed next.

if you are not FS go with this:

-Master Pikeman

-TKM

-Swordsman 0040

-Medic 0040

*do not wear any armor with this because the inate armor is great with COB. This template will make you never leave pikeman, lol.

I can only tell you what I have with both my characters... See below...

Rince can tank just about anything, and it quite popular as a healer for Jedi's spinning Piket lairs. He also has a nice set of Katarn Knuckles that are just waiting for a slice and then drop an ADK on them.

Tetasau is possible the most fun. Great heals, very nice dmg and some uber pikes - most fun ingame with my hawtpants off!
