ok ive been thinking of doing pikeman and ive got some questions before i start grinding any help at all is appreciated...

1. Can you kill semi-high level nightsisters by yourself without a high damage looted pike? if so is it easy, or is it very challenging? this is of course if you are speed capped (by semi-high level i mean like spell weavers and stalkers)

2. how much damage can you do per hit in PvP with a looted LVA thats apprx. 300-1000 damage against someone with melee mitig 3 and about 80% armor (i know this is a hard question to answer so if you dont have a clue dont bother with it)

is that the default attack or with specials, i was talking about using one with maybe hit 3 or leg hit 3 you know?

2. I was work'n my friend doing about 500-700 damage w/ my 1100 damage pike.

Mitigation 3 turns that 300-1000 damage LVA into a 300-580 damage LVA. Using an average toughness of 44 (actually ranges from 26 to 62 depending on class and template), hit3 before taking armor into account will hit for 312-604.

Against 80% kinetic armor that becomes 78-151, giving you an average hit of 114. If you're intimidated it drops to 39-75 damage per hit (averaging 57).

Those 1000 damage LVAs sure are great, aren't they?

You forgot to take into account that the LVA has medium AP, so that whole set of calculations is way off.

Actually, I did take the medium AP into account, and the calculations are correct.

Were it ap0, the damage range would be 31-60, with ap1 it would be 62-120.

The numbers listed in the combat spam don't take armor into account, just because you see a hit for 500 doesn't mean you're doing 500 damage.

Chassis doesn't sell fast. You get to sell it like once in a blue moon. Get master and sell components. It goes really fast.

It is very hard to sell components until you get to master. However, you should setup a paint kit and texture kit vendor. You can do quite well just selling those until you get to master. Not to mention you can make paint/texture kits in equipment factories unlike most of your other shipwright items.
